Lauren and Johno had been engaged for for a while. Busy running their gym, busy living life, the wedding kept getting pushed to someday. So two of their own gym clients quietly took matters into their own hands. Found the celebrant, suggested the venue, basically refused to let them put it off any longer. I love that their people cared that much. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I saw Lauren before the ceremony and just had to stop for a second. She looked so darn breathtaking, so completely herself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The whole day had that same feeling. Under 30 people, all in Yamba where they live and love, surrounded by childhood friends sitting next to people from totally different chapters of their lives, all there for the same two people. We slipped away for portraits at Green Point while the light was soft, then back to @yambasunsetandwine for cocktails and that loose, unhurried afternoon feeling, the best kind, the kind you can’t schedule in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Speeches that were tender then funny two seconds later. Pizzas instead of a sit down dinner. A cinnamon scroll cake from @ashby_flowers that I’m still thinking about. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Such a true to them kind of day. My first wedding back since having my little girl, and I couldn’t have asked for more. I pinch myself at every single wedding.
