🇯🇵😊 Missing Japan! In December, I was thrilled to exhibit my works for the first time at the Tokyo Art Book Fair (@tokyoartbookfair), alongside @fanzineistvienna and @heytbefanzin! 🎉 The Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (@mot_museum_art_tokyo) was an amazing host. Huge thanks to the TABF team and the 35,000 visitors who made it such a memorable experience! 🙏 This was also my first trip to Japan, and I spent nearly three weeks exploring Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. . . #Tokyoartbookfair #japan #osaka artbookfair #zine

Tell me about 42 ｜ A5 Postcard & Tote Bag Card: Digital printing / A5 / Mermaid 220kg Tote: silk screen / 42x38cm / Cotton 100% What?! I searched “the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything(”The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” Douglas Adams)” on Google, and it said 42. Why 42? I made a card and printed tote bags —so I had to ask people and the agents about it. ☁️😎😝💦 #TheHitchhikersGuideToTheGalaxy #douglasadams #google #tokyoartbookfair #zinesmate Look back🐢💦

Kikuyo "I thought I was looking for a routine for oil painting—not acrylics or watercolor, and not paper. The canvases I saw in Berlin cannot be found in Tokyo. So I had to make my own. When I started, everything failed. I stretched cotton cloth on wooden frames, but it did not work well. I was afraid of animal glue, could not stand the smell of thinner, could not control the brushes, and was overwhelmed by the heavy paint. Could laundry starch be a substitute for glue? After many twists and turns, and over several years, I discovered a DIY oil painting method that I can manage on my own. This zine focuses mainly on illustration and explains the DIY method that I found most satisfactory. I am still experimenting and researching." ー Kikuyo ☁️ 12x12cm / 20pp / fullcolor / digital printed in Kyoto ☁️ 詳細はプロフィールにあるバイオのリンクからチェックできます✔︎ More details via link in bio✔︎ ☁️ Thank you********* #zine #oilpainting #diy #tokyoartbookfair

4 stops, 3 countries, a bizarre dinner party later — we’ve served our first round of appetisers in the launch tour of ASSISTANT TO THE ASSISTANT CHEF! 👩‍🍳💋 Big big thank you to our readers for showing us so much love and support, for those who came to our art book fair booths in Singapore, Jakarta, and Tokyo with curious and hungry minds, ready to devour our latest publication. It took almost a year since we sat down and said, “what if we made a zine about sous chefs?” And then we said, let’s call it what it is on the cover you see today. My biggest thank you goes to the chefs who have inspired me in this lifetime, especially the ones I’ve had the honour of speaking to as part of this zine — @jinboyyy , @slow__kat , @ellenathania , @werelambs , @isabelggarciaa 🥺💛 (and @eightmileswide for guest speaking at the panel!) To Aik and Bev who made this zine possible, and absolutely amazing, as a team 🔪 and to @wildcard.sg for letting us raid your kitchen for the shoot and launch, @alym.tan for the beautiful photos and @sissyng and Jin again for being the ass to the asscheeks 🌷 A lot of people asked me if I’m a chef when they picked up the zine, my answer is no, but I’ve been around in different parts of the industry longer than they think. It doesn’t mean I’m removed from the reality of the kitchen, how can I, if all my friends are chefs? 🤣 Online orders of the zine are (softly) launched! Hit the link in bio and we’ll help you out with your delicious reading needs in 2026. Okay! See you soon for the next part of the tour? 🥺 - Christy
