Z’s 5th Bday! In addition to The Slime Factory (see previous post), we hit up Build-A-Bear, as it was conveniently located in viewing distance of The Slime Factory (jokes on us parents), then made our way to the carousel at North Point Mall (I thought they removed this years ago but was glad they didn’t). We ended the day with a small celebration at KK & Papa’s House. Such a fun day with my boy!

Took @zionbronx to The Slime Factory on his bday last week. I know I’m bias but he’s adorable in that lab coat! He had fun and I enjoyed staying out of the slime and just watching from behind the camera. Ha.

⚡️F•I•V•E⚡️ (06.16.26)

My strong-willed, full of energy, yet oh so lovable and sweet boy is ✋🏼 and I’m struggling. I say it all the time, as most of us do, but I truly don’t want my baby to grow up. I find myself trying to write everything down so I don’t forget it. From how he mispronounces certain words and sounds, to how he incorrectly uses other words in the cutest of ways, to questions he asks me and remarks he makes that blow my mind (because how can he know so many facts already?). I absolutely love his heart, mind and personality right now and I will mourn these young years sooner than I want to.

Zion Bronx, my Munchka, you’ve made me a better person and I thank God multiple times a day for choosing me to be your Mom. Life is so busy and work keeps me away from you more than I’d like, but the fun we have together is irreplaceable! You’re so incredibly intelligent and you’re keeping me young (I think….i hope…haha)! HAPPY 5th B-DAY, my handsome son! I love you the most! 💙

⚾️🧢🏟️ Rookie Ball 🏟️🧢⚾️

@zionbronx had the best 1st season of baseball! The coaches were so patient and kind, the parents were all fun to be around and Z improved with each game. Can’t wait for season 2!

On Feb 24th, my last living grandparent became my newest angel. She was 95! Classy, perfectly proper, punctual and loving, are all words that easily describe her. She lived independently (after my Papa’s sudden and unexpected death in 1979) until 4 mos before her death, in a 2-story home, all while still driving to her weekly hair appts, the grocery store and to grab herself a CFA milkshake to enjoy during the Braves game. I never saw her without her blouse pressed as if she’d just picked it up from the cleaners (yet she had ironed it herself) or her nails polished (also done herself, except on occassion). She loved her family and looked forward to all visits and holidays. I’m forever grateful she and Zion got to know each other and had a fun, playful relationship. Mema, you are already so deeply missed. Z and I talk about you daily and I pray he’s old enough to always remember you. It warms my heart to know you were reunited in Heaven with Papa, Aunt Doris (sister) and so many other loved ones. I love you, Mema….always.

My sweet Pop passed away peacefully on Thursday. He was 92! Zion and I visited him just 4 days prior, and I’ll be forever grateful that we did. Whether he was directing the choir at church, enjoying time at his hunting camp, square dancing, or watching the Dawgs on Saturdays, he was always smiling. My grandparents were a big part of my life growing up and after 19 yrs and 8 mos, they’re reunited once again. Pop lived a long and active life and I’m so glad I was a part of it, and so happy Zion got to know his great grandfather. Please pray for my Uncle Stephen and his daughters, Faith and Mia, as they were Pop’s caretakers the past several years and I know it will be hard for them to not see his smiling face each day. I’m happy he was able to be at home with them until his final breath. Love you, Pop!

🍎✏️🔤1st Day of School 2025🔤✏️🍎

Year #2 with Ms Kim & Ms Valerie and Zion was so excited. I decided to have him repeat his 3 yr old class since he has a summer birthday and didn’t turn 4 until after school had ended last year. He misses the friends he made last year but I know he will make new ones quickly. We had to take pics with all his new stuffed animals this morning! 😂 He was in the best mood all afternoon and evening so I know he had a great day and that makes me happy! 💙
