There are moments in a performance that aren’t just about you.

In class we explored “Albi Ashe2ha” by Ragheb Alama

Our job as performers is the same: to become the bridge between the music and the audience. There’s moments where we pause and we allow the audience to feel. When we dance we are having a conversation with our audience. Conversation are a two way street.

Technique and choreography matter. But learning how to carry the emotional intention of the music is what makes the connection.

What makes a performer memorable?

Thank you to my amazing host @zizidances ♥️

The Art of Presence is a workshop about learning to be fully present … not just in your dancing, but in yourself.

Choreography is a conversation between you and your audience.

Together we explored connection, confidence, vulnerability, emotional intelligence, and the power of truly listening.

Because presence isn’t about doing more.

It’s about feeling more.

Thank you to my amazing host @zizidances for trusting me with this space. 🥹🫶🏽

Raqs for the Modern Stage is a workshop about the art of performance.

Great performances aren’t created by choreography alone. They’re shaped by intention, musicality, understanding your audience, and making thoughtful artistic choices.

Throughout this workshop, we explored how to build performances that feel authentic, dynamic, and memorable… because every audience deserves something different.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me with this space in Orlando. It was an honor to share, learn, and create with all of you. 🤍

I adored learning Naimas style and dance spirit. Keeping my hand posture lower and at my hips was one of the biggest stylization shifts I had to make from my dancing. We did have a love of 3 quarter shimmies in common though. She kept those going!! She also loved spinning and turning to the music 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

I highly recommend researching iconic source dancers and learning from their videos. You can pick up so much by following along to a video on YouTube. It’s free and great training ❤️ thank you @zizidances for the opportunity
