Time in Body & This Combobulation Association team up to present This Body Time Combobulation. Tickets live now on RA 🖤 Happening in Dublin's most punkest venue, Mono's Bar in Dalymount. We are absolutely stoked with the line up for this one. It's going to be another epic night in Bohs. Featuring: ZKELLIES (Live) (APT Records) Maeve O'Neill Richard B. (Industrial Lies) ZKELLIES ZKELLIES perform live techno played by hand & foot. It is music for dancing. The ZKELLIES show is an attempt to perform techno music according to Steve Reich's principle of "no hidden structural devices". To this end, ZKELLIES utilise no backing tracks. No sequencers. No click track. Longtime Irish underground music stalwart Andy Connolly (Naive Ted, Unscene) has enlisted the renowned pair of Dan Walsh (Fixity) & Killian Barton (Bill Karnation) to create a series of short musical phrases designed to be played by two drummers, moving between these phrases in the same way as a DJ builds a set, performing a perceived "faithful" version of loop-based, dancefloor focussed, techno music. This particular strand of techno is traditionally created with sequencers controlling synthesizers & samplers. ZKELLIES is an attempt to take the sequencer out of the equation. Though the music is semi-improvised & experimental in nature, there is no wish to subvert the norms of the techno space, only a desire to perform the music respectfully & in a different way. It is music for dancing. Maeve O'Neill Renowned Irish electronic DJ known for relentless energy, hypnotic rhythms and expert use of acid lines. Has shared lineups with Eliza, Lolz, Gesloten Cirkel and ELLLL. Richard B 30 years in electronic music, including 20+ years as techno editor at DJ Mag. Founder of First Cut and Industrial Lies. His vinyl sets range from new wave and Italo disco to jacking acid and raw Hague bangers.

Still a bit away, but very excited to perform as part of the Cois Abhann series of events that are being hosted by @potduggans this Autumn. I’ll be doing a set after the new (older) kids on the block @zkellies who’ll be making their Clare debut. Live techno, made on two electronic drum kits and processed through a mixing desk. Some fine veterans of underground Irish music in the band. Hoping to do a bass heavy set on the night, so less disco and more dub for this one. Only popping my head up for one or two sets for the rest of the year. The entire series is bringing some amazing music to North Clare, great to see it. 🔥

06.11 | @zkellies are on support for our night in @buttonfactorydub with @james__holden & @zimpelwaclaw Homegrown talents with big energy, Zkellies bring a raw and driving form of live techno - all played by hand + foot. Formed by long-time Irish underground figure @andy_connolly_music (Naive Ted, Unscene) alongside @danwalshdoesdrum (Fixity) and @bill_karnation (Killian Barton), their show's focus on creating a living, breathing dancefloor journey. The result is raw, unpredictable, and deeply physical: a live, human take on loop-based techno, made for moving bodies in a completely new way. We're excited to see the guys set the scene for our evening on support. Swipe over to get a taster of what to expect. You can grab a ticket now - link is available in our bio HB x
