@freebase.lab Shuriken tee & earrings final images. Since I decided to refresh the freebase logo back in July last year it filled me so many ideas and possibilities for new designs and art direction. Debuted the logo (rendered by @zko.creative) with a throwing star concept I came up with, the new logo slicing into the old to outline the freebase of old was gone - which was true as freebase was a team of 2 but now 1. But this idea of the throwing star, I realised it had more legs. I’ve seen so many people start a brand, design a tee and just slap their logo on it, it can look like minimal effort and lack of creativity imo, so I’ve always refrained from doing a logo tee. But this time it felt appropriate and natural to do so. A progression of the idea but it wouldn’t stop at just the designing of the tee. I wanted to bring the whole project together, keeping the theme of the shuriken stars for the hero images of the shoot. No basic shot of a tee on the warehouse floor - like every other streetwear brand rn. I wanted dynamic motion, models trying to evade the sharp blades flying towards them. Angles that create interest and intrigue. I’m happy I could bring the idea to life, endless hours editing but it looks dope but I couldn’t have done it without the team I assembled for this, shout out to them. For the first drop in a while it’s reminded me how much time & effort is required to do these so anyone that supports I am massively appreciative. If you got this far, I’m working on another drop, already been printed and I’m super stoked out this next concept 🙌🏼 Big thanks to @samsinger___ for taking the photos and the models @2andy2ee & @_conz1 📸

Yeah, we did the sound for this collaboration🔥 clients @hotwheelsofficial @heydude agency @zko.creative sound @binaural.agency We sought to recreate the dynamic and speedy atmosphere associated with Hot Wheels cars while adding the elements of lightness and comfort that characterize Hey Dude shoes. We wanted the sound to reflect the personality of both brands, bringing together their unique traits and creating a harmonious whole. Let us know in the comments if you liked it! . . . #sounddesign #sound #hotwheels #heydude

𝕱𝖗𝖔𝖒 𝖈𝖑𝖆𝖘𝖘𝖎𝖈 𝖙𝖔 𝖈𝖚𝖙𝖙𝖎𝖓𝖌-𝖊𝖉𝖌𝖊 🌐 I’ve spent a lot of time away thinking, wondering what’s next, where Freebase is at, and what could be better. The OG logo never sat well with me; I was always reluctant to make it the most prominent on any of my designs or even feature it at all. Like most brands, we fell into the cliché look and feel when it came to our logo - a universal wireframe globe and a futuristic font to give a nod to the ever so overused Y2K theme within brands. This became a problem; we weren’t the first nor the last. The more I kept seeing something similar, the more I resented it and felt it needed change. I decided to change my brand logo to better reflect its unique identity and evolution, something I pride my T-shirt designs on. The new custom hand lettering makes the logo distinctive and personal, setting it apart from typical streetwear brand logos. Additionally, the connected lettering forming a circle symbolizes unity and continuity, representing the brand’s cohesive journey and the interconnectedness of the creatives involved in our past projects. Over the years, change has happened behind the scenes, including changes in personnel, so updating the logo feels like a natural and fitting progression. I’d like to thank @zko.creative for bringing my vision of this render to life. It didn’t take much explaining for him to grasp the idea of how I intended to show off freebase’s new logo. Like a shuriken star through the night, our new logo has cut through the clutter of the old. #freebaselab #streetwear #newera

Working with @zko.creative and @the_ai.chronicles to create artwork to share! The whole experience of Reiki isn't subject to one particular niche, as reiki healers are channeling universal energy, the possibilities are limitless, as are you This journey is going to be a collaboration across many artists, creators in all forms, and there's no better time to share this than now, in the digital age A big part of my journey is to support and create wherever we can. I think it's really important to support creators in all forms having worked in the arts for the past 20 years, artists are my tribe Using expertise from a digital design and marketing background, branching out to integrate ai, @zko.creative has created a piece focusing on my photo, my grandma's Yukata, cherry blossoms and the bamboo bag I'm holding. I feel this captures everything so well There is ultimately a big divide in the opinion regarding use of ai. That being said, when you are using digitalised photography and the muse is you, the consent is granted to feed the machine, for the time being. Being a painter myself, here lies the ethical dilemma of original artworks being used to generate ai. Ai has the potential to inspire, enhance and expand artistic expression but we have to be mindful of its impacts to the artistic community and insure it is used in a ethical manner. This calls for companies to take proper regulation and oversight to ensure it does not steal from already existing works of art There is much to be explored as we evolve alongside ai Namaste for today x
