Highlights from today’s @eastcityart DC Print Fair.

.) Nicole Parker’s gypsy moth and Edward Hopper-infused intaglio prints
.) “Vineyard Winter” (1978) by the late Lindsay Makepeace, with its cat’s cradle of electrical lines knitting together an otherwise isolated landscape
.) Z Koh’s sketchbook and reference library
.) Annabelle Morley’s “Blending,” a portrait of the artist’s grandmother, whose figure fades into the kitchen in which she provides for her family. I liked this piece because, at the same time that it questions the gendered labor of a domestic space, it shows a tenderness for that familial tradition
