🚀 District Convention 💫 | 3.24.23 - 3.26.23

🌟 Final Transmission to Golden Gate from your LTG 🪐

8 Seals 🦭 have completed our final space expedition to @cnhcirclek District Convention 2023, which marks the end of our term and GG as a whole. It was an honor to be the last GG LTG, even though it was only for 2 months. Being LTG was a fun break from MR&E and I wish I could’ve been your LTG a lot sooner.

HUGE appreciation to Yvette Rodriguez from UCB for serving as our District Convention Chair. With only 4.5 months to plan DCON, Yvette put in countless hours of work and meetings to make this huge event a success. Thank you for making DCON possible and giving me an in-person Awards Night. Congrats to Huy Nguyen from CSUEB on being installed as the next Division B (Golden Gate & Sunset) LTG! Also, shoutout to our GG members and alumni who hosted workshops this weekend!

📚Our East Bay CKI team helped assemble science kits for elementary school students at Tennyson High School in Hayward! Together we put together 117 science kits and compiled 5 teachers' class sets. 📚

🧬Thanks to the Hayward Unified School District for having us and for being great to serve with!🧬

🎈Go service!🎈

This last Tuesday, some of our CKI members assisted our Kiwanians in their yearly backpack event! An approximation of 30 backpacks were put together for children who will be needing school supplies this upcoming school year. We know that they'll be so happy to receive them! .
A huge thank you to or Kiwanians for having us there to lend a hand and also an extra huge thank you to the Cal-Nev-Ha Children's Fund for the $500 grant for this event! .
This was an in person event, but not to worry, we followed the appropriate guidelines and social distancing rules 😉
