24 was a big year! I’m so grateful to see 25!

This year started off strong with me taking a leap of faith quitting my job and committing entirely to dance. I received two grants and produced a major production with the support of my loved ones.
Legado Dorado was such a special production highlighting the stories of the women in my ancestry. It really changed my life, I finally felt proud of my work and began to truly believe in myself in a new more potent way. My partner and I moved into our own home! We have grown and learned so much about managing a household and nourishing ourselves and one another. I began my training again and devoted significant time to myself my goals and creating stability. I was invited to perform my solo Magia Cafetera at various venues notably, Lincoln Center Atrium, where my grandmother saw me dance for the first time. Our collective @kaleidospacenyc made some major moves and our community grew closer! There was so much beauty and pain. I lost one of the most important and influential people in my life Kimberly Elliott. I continue to grieve this death and celebrate her every time I see butterflies. I also had the huge blessing of getting signed to a modeling agency and most recently another agency for my performance art such as dance and skating! I have roller skated and danced into the night, I have wept and screamed I have watered my plants, I began to let my hair grow, I began to read again, nap more and breathe more. I have truly lived within every second juiced every ounce of life out of 24 and then some. Thank you 24 cheers to 25.

If you have connected with me supported me or participated in any of my magical madness I love you God bless you and thank you!

My 25th birthday was really special. I’m so grateful and so in love with life. God has given me so many blessings and for every challenge there is a lesson and a triumph that comes with it. I was genuinely so surprised for this birthday! I am so grateful to have such an incredible family by my side!

Legado Dorado has left my soul on a high that I have never felt before, my body was struggling to catch up to what we accomplished spiritually this Saturday. We entered another dimension together, I feel like I have been vibrating at a deeper and more profound frequency since then. Thank you all for devoting yourselves to telling the stories of your family. Thank you all for believing in me and believing in each other. I love you all deeply! More photos and material to come thank you to everyone who supported donated and showed up!
Above all thank you to the artists who worked their soul and body to exhaustion in order to make Legado Dorado, a success! We all deserve rest so I encourage everyone to take care of their bodies and minds and recover I can’t wait to celebrate this show soon! thank you again to the community that funded this show and to @qnsarts @nyfacurrent for providing this opportunity!

To nail the aesthetic of a goblin-run magazine I've been studying 80's punk ephemera like Bad Brains/Dead Kennedys posters or old Raygun Mag issues.
@zmp123 modeled as Brenda-Ann Tharpe.

Speaking of Zhané, she blessed me with this anthology and there's just SO MUCH power to digest. I'm overwhelmed in the best way possible.
