🏅🇰🇷 Marathon #9, Seoul, another PR! 3:38:25

💙 First Bridge the Gap and traveling with so many friends made this one even more special. @btgsel was such an amazing event organized by @prrc1936, @seoulvenus, @eightyeightseoul! I’ve heard a lot about BTGs and this did not disappoint. So many fun opportunities to connect with the Seoul running community that left us feeling so very welcomed. Not to mention the opportunity to connect with runners from around the globe!

✨ While I fell short of my A goal (335/336), I’m happy I was able to quickly recover from CIM and stay healthy for this more compressed cycle. Felt really strong throughout the cycle and lucky to have @run.kiwi rolling with all my planned running shenanigans for 2026. Seoul is a super fast and flat course, highly recommend. It was so amazing seeing @richnotdick & Olivia on course 3x plus the @prrc1936 @seoulvenus crews 2x, got a huge boost from these sightings. My only regret is not picking up the pace earlier around mile 21/22, but had a slight fear I could throw up again and am always worried I’ll fade too hard at the end. Definitely wasn’t the case and it was my strongest finish yet. A PR by 1:10 & another BQ with more buffer!

💕 Other photos in this dump, welcome run, shakeout run, after party, and post-race BBQ with new friends from @nowhere.running & @koreatownrunclub!

🙇🏻‍♀️ Big thanks for the photos from the talented @guntastic (1-2 & 5-10) & @richnotdick (3)!

Dealing with injury sucks, but I came in just hoping to have fun and somehow walked away with a PR.

I’m incredibly grateful to have shared this experience with @a_a_ronnie @heezysoulchild @zndr27 and @koreatownrunclub crew.

Huge thank you to @eightyeightseoul @prrc1936 @seoulvenus @runniesrunclub @btgsel for all the love and support throughout my Seoul journey. The energy at 40KM was unreal and something I’ll never forget.

Thank you 8:30-9:00 pod! @greg.moy @missyurijo @_horaciooo My smooth brain thanks you!

To @ggul_94 thank you for pushing me through recovery. @jaettttttt thank you for the hospitality and for showing me around Korea. And @manameissoo thank you for everything, you are my everything.

I can now check off the LA Marathon from my bucket list!
This course is hard and it got hot.
While I did not get the time I was hoping to, I did manage to PR my marathon time and hopefully the next one I run I will be faster.

(I'm only realizing after I posted this that I have once again left my total distance out 26.64 miles)

Couldn't have done it without the clubs:
@koreatownrunclub
@lsd_running
@strugglebus_la
@mrc_losangeles
