Reset restart and refocus. As athletes, an injury can be considered a set back, but it’s all about mindset. Taking that set back and turning it into a greater come back. We’re taught to push past the pain, but being in tune with your body you gotta know the difference between pain and soreness. This off season I’m focusing a lot more on the recovery process to help with performance and overall well being. Be kind to your body. What you fuel it with, what you tell yourself, and self care days turning into facials, massages, and disconnection. I struggle with scoliosis which can be frustrating at times but I will not let it define me or my progress. Resetting and taking sometime to be gentle with my body. S/o to @zo_flex_ for continuing to be a vessel for healing. The body is a vessel for the mind and soul, and we must treat it with care to nourish all aspects of ourselves. -Marianne Williamson #cuppingtherapy #scrapping #npcwellnesscompetitor #gymgirly #selfcareisntselfish

Fun Fact:
Recovery is my least favorite part about being an athlete. It reminds me self inflicted pain - why would I want to be in more pain? I was the teammate that had to be dragged into the training room, skipped ice baths, and never stretched.

Now I’m getting older, stronger, wiser… so here we are. Embracing the suck.. as always.

2022 mantra: Be Harder To Kill. Physically, spiritually, financially and emotionally.

P.S. Bubba was concerned about me the whole time.

Where do I begin?! How long have we been friends?! From all of our workouts over the years, our cardio conversations to our MANY talks about my love life and relationships😉🤣 and life in general, you've always been there for me. Whether it was to tell me I'm an idiot, or to smarten my ass up or to listen to my craziness. Can't say thank you enough or express how much you mean to me! Love you Z and I will see you again soon❤️
