Since my freshman year of college, so much in my life has changed, friendships, where I live, my faith, and who I am as a person. Some changes came from growth, some from my own choices, and some just from time. And it hasn’t all been easy, but it’s all been worth it.

Standing on that stage this past Friday meant more to me than I can fully explain. To some, it’s just a diploma from a hometown college. But to me, it represents a season I once didn’t think I’d make it through.

Over the past few years, I’ve faced depression, self-doubt, broken friendships, health struggles, and moments where I felt completely lost. I stepped away from school, moved, tried again, and failed again. I didn’t know where I was going or what I was meant to do.

But somewhere along the way, I found my way back to Jesus.

I started rebuilding my life, not around expectations or comparison, but around faith. I found joy in the small things, real connections, and a path that felt like a calling instead of pressure.

Moving to Fayetteville, living on my own, and starting school again was a step of faith, and God has met me in every part of it. He’s provided, restored, and grown me in ways I didn’t think were possible.

So no, this may not seem like the biggest milestone to everyone. And I still have years of school ahead.

But to me, this is a big step forward, and one I’m incredibly grateful for.
