POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Usual suspects and new challengers. That was the story of last nights Quiz with ocean as a theme and some tricky questions in the last round

Power players surged to first in the last round and winning by just 4 points to take Viya Padel vouchers

Team Kalkyn were leading from round 1 onwards with strong scores in ocean and current affairs round but had to settle for second and take Golf academy lessons from top golf as their prize

Alter egos boosted again by a good last round landed up third.

Special shout out to new teams - YMCA who were placed second all thru but tripped in the final round to finish 4th. They d be back again to stake a claim for prizes and team Dukra Mass who came from across the Emirates far and wide and were enthusiastic quizzers. Hoping to see them again.

Couple of questions for you to work on. One relatively easy , the other confounded everyone. Lemme know if you got it

Huge thanks to @zoomnclick for these amazing shots, truly talented behind the lens 🫡

And to @razrsharpvisuals, thank you for the invite and for taking such good care of everything. Means a lot 🙏

Still becoming. Always arriving. ✨

Not fixed, not finished; just unfolding.
Every layer I shed makes room for the next. 🚀

I am both the student and the guide.
The work is quiet, but it never stops. 🧑‍🎓

Some days it’s growth. Some days it’s grace.
I don’t chase who I was, I meet who I’m becoming. ✨

This body carries every version of me.
And I keep choosing to show up for her.
Still becoming. Always arriving. ♥️

A packed Friday evening at Wikit saw teams battling out around 4 rounds of 90s plus the usual tricky final round of mixed bag questions

Power players were run away winners of the evening and taking home top golf vouchers

New team - bunch of jokers - proved they were not joking around by coming second and winning 200 AED Viya points to spend

Can you repeat the question came third and won an hours game play at Wikit

Shout out to other new teams of the evening and hoping to see you guys again.

Meanwhile can anyone tell me what word did the river in the picture contribute to the English language.

My paintings, out in the courtyard of House 10, gathered in the open air beneath the wind-tower. This house is home to Collective X, six artists who share these walls here in Al Fahidi. We come from Germany, France, the US, the UAE and Zambia, a wonderful mix of places and ways of seeing, each of us following our own line of work while sharing the shade and the daily company of other makers.
On this day the courtyard was mine, my blues set against old stone, and I felt again what a quiet fortune it is to belong to a place like this.

Back for hosting duties after a 2 week break. A good turnout with the regulars being given a tough fight by the newcomers.

In first place was -Half Pack - making their first appearance at my quiz and winning by 5 points. They take home an hour worth Top Golf voucher.

Second place to Alter Egos who see their winning streak end

And third place was again a newbie team winning some merch

Back again next Friday with music , biology , letter link and as always some quirky connection questions.

Congratulations team @wadiwurayah !

It was a privilege and an honour to have been part of this long journey to UNESCO! We spent a week in the wilderness filming the rich flora and fauna of the wadi. The experience behind crafting and documenting the story of Wadi Wurayah to help create a winning UNESCO bid documentary is one worth writing a book about. We’re so proud of the team who care immensely for preserving and documenting the Wadi and biodiversity.

Last Wikit quiz before I go off on a 2 week break saw a close finish at the top ( as always )

Quiz like a bawse shaking off two weeks of tie break heart break and winning by 3 points. The presence of their captain Umaima has made all the difference surely 😃

Power players settling for second place and Alter Egos came up third and taking home experiences with Top golf and Wikit

As always we had new teams coming in too who did great, chipping in with answers that no one else knew - like what is the polar bear capital of the world.

The quiz continues for the coming weeks with the one and only Yusuf returning to quiz master duties after a while and standing in for me.

Meet Your Host 🎙️

Ever since I was 4 years old, trivia wasn’t just something I did. I was breathing it. Family gatherings, road trips, lazy Sunday afternoons, if there was a question to be asked, I was already halfway through the answer. What started as a quirky childhood habit turned into a full- blown competitive obsession, and honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.

For years I sat on the other side of the mic, nonchalantly playing, competing, winning alongside @joel_branham25 (mostly), and quietly absorbing everything about what makes a quiz night truly electric. Then in December 2023, the queen herself @quizwithlottie pitched in and asked me to pick up the mic myself. Turns out, watching a room of strangers argue over whether John Doe was in that movie is even more fun when you’re the one causing the chaos.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of hosting at some of Dubai’s most iconic venues like NocNoc, Irish Vickers, Offside JBR, and TGIF Downtown with Lottie, @ruthlessquizzingdxb and the team, bringing trivia that’s fast-paced, fiercely competitive, and just chaotic enough to keep things interesting. My quizzes aren’t just about who knows the most. They’re about the roasts, the buzzer moments, the team that’s way too confident going into the evil round.

But the chapter I’m most proud of? In April 2024, Lottie and Erich asked me to jump onboard and we launched @thebigdesiquiz. Built for the desi soul, and packed with everything from golden era classics to the latest blockbusters, it’s a love letter to all the Desi’s and Non- Desi’s in the UAE, and the response has been nothing short of unreal.

I’m Suman. I go by Exquizite, the brains behind the scenes and an occasional mic warmer.
