Danced away my troubles for a moment

I’ve missed the beach

Witnessed my brothers being fathers. They absolutely crush it, inspiring to say the least.

New and old friendships strengthened.

But alas we have to rebuild our home. So I’m back in Asheville @wildkind.tattoo taking appointments & consultations. I have time in December as well as mid February ~ onwards.

I met Ryan at a sacredsons event a couple years ago. We are born in the same year we have so many parallels in our lives. Ryan has gone through some major shifts in the past year. We started this sleeve for Ryan on his visit to Asheville. We held ceremony and got to honor his heritage and his warrior spirit.
Sending you lots of love and prayers 🙏🏽my brother, recovery is an uphill battle but know we are pulling for you.
I have had my battle with addictions but I’ve rooted them out and have never felt better.
I’m celebrating my 1 year 1/2 of alcohol sobriety and 2 1/2 years since I quite smoking cigarettes.

May you step with grace and strength through this process. Remember what we encoded into you and your tattoo. And remember you have the brotherhood at your back. ☝🏾🫶🏾💪🏽

For Lorenzo @zopoetic. What a wonderful visit and drop in from my brother from another. I’m glad I could hold space and create an environment for deep reflection and check ins. As my brother navigates fatherhood and challenges in his relationship. We sought to give more clarity to his path and situation. As we dove in, fatherhood was the wound and the guiding light. I honor you Lorenzo, for showing up for your kids, for giving yourself self care, so you can fill up your family’s cup, for putting your sons first before everything else. 🙇🏻‍♂️
A Mandela came to the vision, to represent his sons and his quest as a father. Outside pattern is from Costa Rica his background. It seemed so fitting that we tattoo a sun / mandala on his back. I can’t wait to witness you and your sons on this journey together! Much love brother!

We’re building a community…

Yeah, an actual community that grows it’s own food supply, provides its own clean & drinking water, generates it’s own energy… yeah, but…

It’s a community of people that do life together. A community of kids that are growing up together, maturing together, kids that play together everyday, growing life long bonds with other children.

We make decisions together. We build together. We serve together. We make changes together. We laugh together. We cry together. We sing Kumbaya & maybe we’ll dance by the fire two-gather...

I know that in the very near future my sharing of this message will no longer be about what is about to happen, but I’ll be talking about what we’re actually doing on a day-to-day basis. This will no longer be an occasional “gathering” but it will be a day-to-day interaction of people doing life together, and I cherish this beginning, because just like a young infant… the beginning is so quick. & this will be a very mature way of life soon…

Beautiful lyrics to encapsulate the year. I will stay humble and always check my ego. I’ve learned to reframe how I think about pain and suffering as tool for motivation and A necessity for growth and joy. I will not fall back into victim mentality.
These are some of my favorite projects from the past year.
Tattoo wise it was an amazing year of continuing to refine my style and perfecting my craft. So many dope projects that I was excited to co create. I couldn’t do this at all with you! 🖤🖤🖤
I want to thank all my clients 🙏🏽🙇🏻‍♂️ so much, without you it’s really not possible. I’m humbled by your support and trust.
I normally don’t share much of my personal story but I’m realizing that it has the potential to help people.
2022 was a year of expansion for me. It was one of best years yet, but not without its challenges. During my lowest lows and through conflict it made me sit with my past trauma and recognize the roots and patterns of behavior. I gained a better understanding of myself and the man I want to become. I bonded with the brotherhood I made @sacredsons as we did men’s work and confronted our shadows. I met my spirit guides, and witnessed divine masculinity. It was an honor to tattoo bothers at convergence, where we gathered to continue the path. I took myself to the edge and past many fears this year.
I reignited my love for dancing at @solastafestival and Voyage. And realized that it’s medicine and moving meditation that I need in my life in a consistent basis. It keeps me present and grounded.
This year I have realized the healing power of tattoos. To be able to empower each other. To encode messages they need to be reminded of, as well as letting go of things that don’t serve them, through ceremony, meditation and setting intentions. To be of assistance in this healing process feels very much in alignment to my soul.
