I have been looking for the words to describe all of my feelings about Monday’s @lempickamusical reunion concert. I don’t have them all yet but I’ll give it a try. Firstly, to hear these songs again performed live with @cwicksdepinto at the helm was so so special. Familiar and yet brand new. The way this small but mighty group of gorgeous humans pivoted that afternoon to reimagine this concert due to some last minute availability of cast members was nothing short of spectacular, but this is who this tenacious talented group of actors is…and we LOVE them for it. And then to be in communion with this dedicated group of loving Lempicka fans in this intimate space at the @thebeechman was so beautiful. On a very personal note, if you had told me two-ish years ago that I would have been swimming like a fish in that room, hugging & catching up with SO MANY PEOPLE, I would have thought you were lying. The performances were everything from moving, unhinged, to inspired! @marypagenance’s Stay was so so good, and she just learned it that afternoon 😮 @edenespinosa gave a fabulously fiesty rendition of Unseen, brought the house to our feet with her powerful Woman Is, and to our knees with an emotional and searingly beautiful In The Blasted California Sun. Her ability to slide effortlessly in & out of character is awe inspiring! She made a comment that night that describes this work so perfectly…”it haunts the halls of our heart” that it does Eden, that it does. @njjisrelentless @marypagenance and @vernyverny gave us a fabulous version of Women that we didn’t know we needed. @mmilkanin OWNED Perfection, and @zozonyc broke all our hearts performing a song had been cut from the show (Does She See me?) and I’m so happy she finally got to perform this for the Lempeople. And as a huge added bonus, we got to hear from our beloved @carsonkreitzer, the woman who conceived and birthed this incredible show. What an absolute treat. This woman’s heart is so expansive, we are not worthy. To get to spend this special evening with cherished friends…none of who we knew before Lempicka, was sweet sweet icing on a magnificent day. I love you all 🫶🏻 Thank you @dynamicduocabarets💚

Last night was a stunning, healing Reunion, celebrating our precious treasure that is @lempickamusical 💚 Even with dealing with last minute cancellations and changes, the magnificent souls on that stage gave us everything and more. Because that’s who they are and part of why I adore so much. In some ways it felt like I was right back in my sanctuary of the Longacre, with my fellow Lempeople. But life is also So different, and Lempicka has inspired and transformed so much of my last two years. There were hearts in the @thebeechman that used to be strangers and now hold precious places in my own. I was reflecting and in gratitude the entire night. It was a therapy session. It was an empowering tribute and sing along. It was the chance to experiencing new gorgeous gifts. From @mmilkanin giving genius Perfection, @marypagenance breaking us apart with her rendition of STAY, and dear @zozonyc giving us a heartwrenching cut song from the show. We had the empowerment and hilarity of @njjisrelentless We had such emotional words from the genius co creator of the magic herself, @carsonkreitzer And we had at the helm our Tamara, the powerful and tenacious @edenespinosa - who once again exquisitely showed why nobody could have done this but Her. Everyone shared reflections on what Lempicka meant to them, the laughs and heartbreak, the Unseen work and everything in between. I learned more and more what they gave of themselves. How they devoted their minds, body and hearts to this revolutionary, bold ORIGINAL&QUEER art. They’ve always deserved more. Lempicka deserved So much more. But most of all I feel so lucky. How lucky are we to have witnessed and been changed by the miracle that was, that IS this extraordinary experience. To know and love these special people. And to be able to forever share it with friends and family Here’s to the next reunion. But until then we continue to let Lempicka inspire us. We spread the light. And we support everyone who brought this light to us (📢CHECK OUT Eden’s Woman Is Concert 6/15 @brooklynimprov and Natalie’s Cabaret on 6/21) You continue to make my world Stop. Just for a moment #lempicka

"Look at them all, the way they move: sleek, powerful, like motor cars. Your women, they're taking over the world." Two years and several international incarnations later. I will always treasure the time had on Broadway and the friends I've made because of this show. Love you forever and always @lempickamusical #lempickamusical
