Glazing complete at 508 Ocean.

Every opening on the house is set. It’s the single biggest element of the build — the ocean elevation is all glass to take in the incredible Atlantic Ocean views— and it’s behind us.

Next up: Accoya from @deltamillworks so the orange can go away for good.

LIFE UPDATE:

Almost a decade ago I walked into Bedford Greenhouses not entirely sure where life was taking me. I didn’t think I would even like plants.

What followed shaped everything about who I am. I grew from an employee to a plantsman and into the leader I never knew I was capable of being. Managing the operations of one of Augusta’s most beloved nurseries, while working alongside Milledge and Joanne Peterson, was one of the great privileges of my career. They trusted me with something they spent their lives building and I gave everything I had to it, every single day.

Then there is the family I never expected. The people I worked alongside at Bedford, past and present, became some of the most important people in my life. We showed up through every season, every hard day and every beautiful one. Leaving you is the hardest part of all of this.

And the customers. Ten years of faces, names, and garden stories. I will cherish our time together more than you know.

Today I am stepping into something I have been building toward for a long time. My own garden design practice rooted in ecological horticulture and devoted to the people of this region who truly love their gardens. I design with intention. Plants that belong here. Gardens that get more beautiful every year. Impactful in every season. Living, growing landscapes that reward you for decades.

Augusta has always had the bones of something extraordinary. I intend to spend the rest of my career helping the Garden City live up to its name.

I am grateful to a magnificent God, my wonderful wife Alyssa, my incredible family and steadfast friends. I wouldn’t be where I am today without any of you.

Let’s grow something beautiful together!
