Pappy told my mom to take videos of the baby calves because he wanted to make sure everyone saw happy babies. That’s why God made cowboys. He wanted to make sure that after all the horrible weather and very sad stories last week, everyone got to see a few of his very happy babies because happy babies is why cowboys do what they do. I think this song pretty much sums it up. He wanted someone who loves the land as much as He does. Somebody simple and strong that He knew He can count on. He knew they’d work hard on the great big ranch called life, cause’ they love and take care of all his creations. That’s why God loves cowboys. I’m pretty sure Pappy doesn’t know what a reel is, but I’m pretty sure Gramma will show him. He won’t really care about seeing himself here, but he’ll be real real proud y’all got to see his happy babies. The last I heard they only have ten more first calf heifers and that’s worth a hallelujah.
