This month I’m stepping into a rural school to help cover a caseload while they’re without an SLP. Walking into someone else’s caseload can feel overwhelming. New students. New goals. Limited background information. But this time, I came prepared. I went through each student’s goals, matched them to the exact skills inside our SLK Curriculum, and pulled the corresponding goal packets ahead of time. ✔ Narrative packet ✔ Cluttering packet ✔ Core Language Program for students working on multiple language skills ✔ Conversation Toolbox for social communication Everything is aligned to their goals. Everything is ready to go. No scrambling. No reinventing the wheel. Just structured, consistent support , even when services are shared between SLPs. If you ever find yourself covering a caseload or collaborating with another therapist, having aligned materials makes all the difference. You can grab the Goal Packets inside the Curriculum at 👉 hub.speechandlanguagekids.com #slplife #schoolslp #speechtherapytools #slkcurriculum #caseloadsupport
FBI Director Christopher Wray said while testifying before the Senate Homeland Security Committee on Tuesday that his department's domestic terrorism caseload has “exploded” since the spring of 2020 from about 1,000 investigations to around 2,700. "Today's threat is different from what it was 20 years ago and it'll almost certainly continue to change," Wray said. "The past 16, 18 months or so, we've more than double our domestic terrorism caseload."
SAVE this list 👇 If I only had ONE hour a week to focus on marketing, this is how I would spend it. This is very similar to what I did when I was building my caseload. Most therapists don’t need more strategies. They need to spend their time on the few things that actually lead to clients. 5 min: Get focused Look at your last 3–5 inquiries. Where did they come from? That tells you what’s already working. Pick one area to double down on this week instead of trying to be everywhere. 15 min: Nurture referral relationships This is still one of the most reliable ways to build a caseload. Send a quick thank you to someone who referred to you. Reach out to a provider you want to stay connected with. Ask what kinds of clients they’re looking for right now. If you’re able to, use your full hour to meet someone for coffee. If you have more time, this is where I would spend it first. 20 min: Share your voice in a simple way You don’t need to create perfect content. Answer a real question your client is already asking. Something you explained in session this week is usually a good place to start. The goal is clarity and connection, not trying to sound impressive. 15 min: Improve what people see before they book Take a few minutes to look at your Psychology Today profile or your website. Is it clear who you help? Does it sound like how you actually talk? Make one small improvement each week. This builds over time. 5 min: Reflect What actually led to connection this week? Where are you putting time that isn’t leading anywhere? Do you need to adjust your messaging or who you’re trying to reach? This is not about doing everything. It’s about consistently doing the things that actually work. Comment GROW and and I’ll send you the link to my marketing for therapist course where I breakdown exactly how to fill your caseload ❤️ ❤️ Kelley
