50-year-old Converse. Sole completely removed. Rebuilt from scratch by hand. Full hand-stitched rebuild — original sole stripped, replaced with a custom leather boot sole crafted by skilled artisans from raw materials. The shoe didn't change. One simple upgrade can make your leather-soled boots last significantly longer. We’re adding a rubber sole protector to a pair of @Tecovas boots. A thin layer of @svig_srl rubber is bonded over the original leather sole to add traction, improve wet-weather grip, and extend the life of the boots. It also helps shield the leather from water and protects the outsole stitching from premature wear. The flush metal toe plates help prevent excessive wear at the toe. That’s one of the first places pointed soles begin to wear down. As a bonus, they add a subtle touch of class without changing the look of the boot.
