Little considered but so so profound and essentially undeniable from a neuroscientific perspective 🧠 Your brain is taking all of the sense information it is gathering and using it to construct your conscious experience 👁️ Further than this, you are only experiencing a tiny sliver of all the information that your brain is collecting because otherwise there would be no way you could process it all. This is why when mystical traditions say that reality is mind and that by controlling your mind and your thoughts you can control your reality, they were RIGHT Start transmuting and transforming your internal world, and your outer world will follow. It’s inevitable. Follow for more ✌️ #neuroscience #consciousness #spirituality #manifestation #philosophy

In this recent episode of @hubermanlab @michael.pollan explores collective consciousness and the possibility that the brain may not simply produce consciousness, but could somehow receive or channel it. Psychedelics, and other practices such as meditation, can produce experiences of ego dissolution: we can remain conscious without the usual sense of self. This temporarily weakens the boundary between “I” and “other,” creating a profound sense of connection — that perhaps we are more alike, and less separate, than we normally perceive ourselves to be. This resonates with Carl Jung’s idea of the collective unconscious: a deeper layer of the psyche that, he proposed, is shared across humanity and expressed through universal archetypes, symbols and patterns. There’s an interesting resonance between these ideas: when the ordinary sense of “me” becomes quieter, people can sometimes experience something that feels larger than the individual self. Consciousness remains one of our biggest mysteries. So maybe the most scientific position right now is also a humble one: keep an open mind. This relationship between consciousness, the self, and psychedelics has been central to much of my research, and is something I explore further in “How Psychedelics Work”. If you’re a deeply conscious person, you need to understand that you can only meet someone at the level of consciousness that they’re at.
Comment “BOOK” and I’ll send you a link of free chapter from Micro Moments to explore metacognition more deeply. We think we are conscious of how we think. But much of the time, our brain is operating from a subconscious layer. Our beliefs, experiences, patterns, and old conditioning can become part of the “code” we use to understand ourselves and the world around us. The question is: Can you see how your own mind functions? This is what neuroscience calls metacognition. It is the ability to step back and observe your own mind instead of only thinking from inside it. And this is where another level of clarity becomes possible. There is clarity within your operating system. You work with the information, beliefs, and patterns that have already formed you. Then there is clarity about your operating system. You step outside and begin noticing the code itself. 1. Why do I think this way? 2. Why do I react this way? 3. What beliefs or experiences shaped this response? That awareness gives you the space to see yourself more clearly instead of automatically operating from what has already been programmed into you. 💡 Comment “BOOK” and I’ll send you a link of free chapter from Micro Moments to explore metacognition more deeply. You can also get the full book on Amazon or through the link in bio. Which plane are you operating on today: inside the system, or observing the system? I’ve been working in this space (conscious creation) since 2019. A pattern I’ve observed in almost everyone I’ve worked with is that they’re so focused on what they DON’T like about their current reality, that they have no awareness of what they do you want. How do you expect to move forward if you’re staring backward? Focus on what you choose to be, do and have. Imagine having it now. That’s it.
