"Perfect" is a straight-up romantic juggernaut that practically took over every wedding reception, prom, and cozy playlist the second it dropped. Written as an absolute love letter to his now-wife Cherry Seaborn, Ed Sheeran tapped into that throwback, 1950s ballad energy to serve up a track that's equal parts sweet, soulful, and unapologetically cheesy in the best way possible. It’s the kind of timeless track that hooks you with its cozy waltz rhythm and stripped-back production, making you feel like you’re eavesdropping on someone’s most intimate, head-over-heels moment. When it came time to shoot the official music video, Ed wanted to go all-in on the winter wonderland vibes, so he teamed up with director Jason Koenig and actress Zoey Deutch to film on location in the snowy mountains of Hintertux, Austria. Ed openly admitted he wanted to lean hard into the romantic holiday atmosphere—calling the concept "full-blown Swiss cheese"—and the production turned into a wild three-day shoot that included night-skiing down glacier slopes with red flares, hanging in mountain huts, and making snow angels. Once word leaked that Ed was in town, massive crowds of local fans swarmed the area and made shooting a bit chaotic, but Ed and Zoey kept it super down-to-earth and chill on set, turning all that freezing chaos into absolute cinematic gold. 'Perfect' initially captured the world's heart as a standout acoustic ballad, but it quickly transformed into one of the defining, multi-platinum love songs of the 21st century. Serving as a massive centerpiece single from Ed Sheeran's record-breaking album ÷ (Divide), the song made history by topping global charts, inspiring legendary duets with Beyoncé and Andrea Bocelli, and becoming an eternal wedding anthem worldwide. The track's production is celebrated for its brilliant, 1950s-inspired duality—clashing a heavy, rhythmic 6/8 ballad tempo with lush orchestral string arrangements, warm acoustic guitar strumming, and Ed’s tender, soulful vocal delivery. It cleverly spins a timeless story of childhood romance blossoming into lifelong devotion, trading modern electronic pop gimmicks for a nostalgic, slow-dance melody that feels intimately personal yet universally grand. It’s bold, it’s deeply romantic, and it stands as an untouchable masterclass in how classic, heartfelt songwriting can completely capture the entire world's imagination. 🎻💍✨ #Perfect #EdSheeran #Divide #LoveSong #MusicHistory

The Ed Sheeran vs Macklemore saga continues. 👀 After pledging to donate his net earnings from Ed’s LOOP Tour, Macklemore was very transparent about who exactly would be receiving his £1 million, tagging six charity organisations supporting the Palestinian people on Instagram. Una guitarra. Un loop. Control total.
