Meet Sir David Beckham (Ausa34b16). Semi-double, luminous white and naturally open in character, this is our first white rose since the much-loved Desdemona in 2014. The petals carry a delicate green banana scent, evolving into a honeyed musk with notes of nougat and clove as the flower opens out. Hear from our Head Rosarian Liam, on where to plant, how it grows and the companions that suit it best. #DavidAustinRoses #EnglishRoses #ChelseaFlowerShow

A rose begins with a story. This one begins with a daughter and a gift for her father's 50th birthday. Sir David Beckham (Ausa34b16) is rooted in something deeply personal. A living symbol of family, resilience and enduring love, created to mark a milestone year and inspired by a touching request from his daughter Harper for his 50th birthday. But beyond the story, it is above all a rose of great beauty. #DavidAustinRoses #EnglishRoses #ChelseaFlowerShow

One of the most fragrant climbing roses, The Generous Gardener is an excellent choice for large archways, pergolas and doorways. Alongside being exceptionally fragrant, it is repeat flowering, shade tolerant and bears beautifully formed flowers that are popular with bees and other pollinators. Then, throughout autumn and winter it develops pleasing colourful hips. #thegenerousgardener #englishroses #gardenroses #climbingroses #rosesofinstagram #davidaustinroses

There’s something exquisite about the nodding blooms of an English rose, caught in a gentle summer breeze. The rose seen here is the ever lovely Roald Dahl (Ausowlish). #davidaustinroses #englishroses #roalddahlrose #rosesofinstagram
