APRIL 29TH. SUPREME COURT. WE SHOW UP. 🇭🇹⚖️
Haitian lives. Haitian families. Haitian futures… are on the line.
Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is not just a policy, it’s protection, it’s stability, it’s the ability for our people to LIVE without fear while Haiti continues to face unimaginable conditions.
On April 29th, we are gathering at the Supreme Court to stand for our community, to demand fairness, and to make sure our voices are heard LOUD and CLEAR.
If you’ve ever benefited from TPS, know someone who has, or simply believe in justice… this is the moment to stand up.
📍 Supreme Court
🗓 April 29th
⏰ 9:00 AM
Show up. Speak up. Stand firm.
Because silence is not an option.

Haitians are some of the smartest, strongest, most resilient and hardworking people I know. They come to this country, start over, learn a new system, work incredibly hard and build a life for themselves and their families.
Immigrants are not a talking point. They are our neighbors, our doctors, our nurses, our business owners, our clients and the people raising the next generation of Americans.
We can have serious conversations about immigration policy without dehumanizing people who came here looking for safety, opportunity and a better life.
I have tremendous respect for the Haitian community, and I will always stand for treating immigrants with dignity. 🇭🇹❤️
Original concept inspired by @attorneygoldfinch. I loved her reel and wanted to share my own take on this conversation

Please note: This interview was recorded several weeks ago at the rally held at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex, shortly after the U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way for the Trump administration to move forward with ending TPS protections. I believe Farah Juste’s words are even more meaningful now than they were then.
Farah Juste, one of Haiti’s beloved folk singers, has spent years using music to celebrate Haitian culture, history, resilience, and national pride. At a time when so many Haitians are hurting, her message reminds us that our identity and dignity cannot be taken away.
Since this interview was recorded, TPS for Haiti has officially ended. Thousands of people have lost their work authorization, many have lost their jobs, and families are now facing impossible decisions about how they will pay their bills, keep their health insurance, and care for their loved ones. While the government is encouraging self-deportation, many of these individuals have built their lives here over many years and have few remaining ties to Haiti.
At this point, the strongest path forward is legislative action. A bill that would extend TPS for three years is awaiting action in the U.S. Senate. It cannot move forward unless Senate Majority Leader John Thune brings it to the floor for a vote.
Whether you agree or disagree on immigration policy, these are real families experiencing real hardship. I encourage everyone to stay informed, stay engaged, and continue contacting your senators to let them know where you stand.
Thank you, Farah Juste, for lending your voice to a community that refuses to lose hope. 🇭🇹❤️

🚨 BREAKING UPDATE
A federal judge has denied the Trump administration’s appeal to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitian nationals.
For now, protections remain in place for an estimated 350,000 Haitians living in the United States.
This decision comes after a tense legal battle and follows reports that the judge received threats during the proceedings.
More updates as this develops.

Our youth are watching. They’re listening. And whether we realize it or not, the people with the biggest platforms help shape what becomes normal. 🇭🇹
That’s why I have to give @unclekendji his flowers for using his voice to speak on what’s happening in Haiti. When violence, fear and chaos are being displayed so publicly, silence can’t be the only response.
Nou bezwen plis moun ki gen influence pou pale, poze kestyon, epi kanpe pou peyi nou.
The youth deserve better. Haiti deserves better. And nou pi fò ansanm. 🇭🇹🤎
