Visit the only natural lake in Texas—that’s also a truly special state park! 🤩 @caddolakesp in east Texas is a beautiful lake surrounded by giant bald cypress trees with hanging moss. 🛶You can rent a canoe or kayak or take a boat tour. (Check the @caddolakesp page for rental info.) 🛶There are markers throughout the lake to help you keep track of your route. 🐊Over 70 types of fish live in the park and so do alligators! 🥾After you explore the lake, visit the nature center and check out their exhibits. Then go for a hike! 📍Caddo Lake State Park is about 5.5 hours from Austin. Address is 245 Park Road 2, Karnack, TX 75661

🌿 Kelly Park… one of those places that once you go, you keep going back 💚 The water is so clear you can see everything… fish, turtles… it honestly feels like you’re floating through glass. So peaceful, so beautiful. Inside Kelly Park you have 💧 Rock Springs That’s where people go tubing, swimming, BBQ, camping… a full park experience. 👉 Entrance is only about $3 🚣🏾‍♀️ But paddling is DIFFERENT There’s a separate entrance for paddling 👉 Also $3 👉 You MUST bring your own kayak or paddleboard (no rentals) Even though it’s a different entrance, you’re still in the same spring water as Rock Springs 💰 Right next to it is King’s Landing ✔ They rent kayaks ✔ Easier if you don’t have your own ❌ But more expensive 👉 Both places take you to the SAME spring ✨ And the highlight… Emerald Cut Everyone stops here for pictures 😉 It’s a tree canopy right in the middle of the crystal clear spring… absolutely beautiful 🌿 🐢 We saw: turtles, fish, raccoons, and lots of birds Some people have seen alligators, but they are more common in the 8.5 mile river area where the spring meets the river 💚 I’ve only explored the spring part so far… and it’s already one of my favorite places in Florida. Last weekend we barely scratched the surface on what’s in store here! 👀 They currently have VR, Karaoke, Axe Throwing, Mini Golf, Sky Rope Walk, and amazing BBQ from @caldwellcountybbq ! So excited to see the new stuff that’s coming here soon! 🤩 This is a great spot in the east valley for families and a date night! And, I need to go back to record all the goodness on my way out! Such a ✨beautiful place✨ boasting majestic live oaks, and beautiful views.
