Verborgen tussen groene rotswanden, stromende beekjes en eeuwenoude bomen vonden we deze magische plek: het Müllerthal in Luxemburg.
Een sprookjesachtig gebied vol avontuurlijke paden, rotsspleten en bruggen — perfect voor gezinnen die graag buiten zijn en samen op ontdekking gaan.
Wij liepen de B2 trail van ongeveer 5,5km. 🥾
Dit voelde als een mini-expeditie. En het mooiste? Het is maar 3 uur rijden vanaf Nederland.

Parkeren kun je heel makkelijk bij @camping_martbusch

Een half uurtje van het Müllerthal vandaan. Een heerlijk rustige plek midden in de natuur met ontzettend fijne mensen! Heerlijke uitvalsbasis voor meerdere uitstapjes.

À seulement 30 km de la frontière belge, découvrez la Route 3 du Mullerthal Trail ! ✨
Des vallées magiques, des paysages rocheux spectaculaires et des châteaux romantiques vous attendent sur cet itinéraire d’environ 112 km, composé de trois boucles principales. La Route 3, la plus féerique, peut se parcourir en deux journées et vous emmène à travers :
🏰 Les ruines du château de Larochette et celles du château de Beaufort, accompagnées du majestueux château Renaissance,
🌿 Des vallées de ruisseaux protégées,
🌲 Des forêts et formations rocheuses impressionnantes,
🌈 Et le célèbre Schéissendëmpel, la cascade emblématique du Luxembourg, digne d’un conte de fées.
Ne manquez pas le ponton en bois de 700 mètres menant au Kallektuffquell, un rocher moussu d’où jaillit une source formant un bassin aux reflets changeants selon les saisons. 💧

Mullerthal Trail, Route One - Echternach to Rosport 😀🇱🇺👍
Today, we’re in lovely Luxembourg. Let me show you this amazing hike from Echternach to Rosport along Route 1 of the Müllerthal Trail.
Starting at Parc d’Echternach, follow the path (we had had to stop and say hello to this fella) and cross over a main road before entering the outskirts of the woods.
Then, walk through an attractive tree tunnel until you reach an area of tall, majestic trees.
Once there, cross the metal bridge and head into a section of the trail where stunning rock formations rise around you, which is often covered in moss, creating the feel of a dreamlike enchanted land.
It's worth taking the time out to explore these wonderful rocks, and they also make for a great rest or food stop, particularly if you want to stay dry.
Continuing after lunch, the trail heads uphill with an abundance of mushrooms in all colours, shapes and sizes , adding even more otherworldly charm. And by this point, I've lost all connection with the outside world.
There's time for one last tree hug before leaving the forest behind. The path then takes a descent through a meadow into town and then onto a rather long upward staircase, finishing the hike at the church on the hill in Rosport
We took the free bus back to Echternach and ended the day with a stroll around Luxembourg's oldest city.
