It’s actually a humiliation ritual being on campus with a backpack today lol #premed #universityofgeorgia #premedlife #studywithme #studymotivation
How I graduated with a 4.0 GPA as a Pre-Med D1 Athlete :) 1. Anki - the most effective way to study is to utilize spaced repetition with active recall. Anki is a free flash card app that incorporates both! 2. Treat every assignment the same - whether it’s worth 2 points or 100 points, treat it the same. I treated all assignments as exam grades so I’d have a cushion for any unexpected lower grades at the end of the semester :) 3. Meet with professors outside of class time - this shows the professor that you care and he/she will also be able to put a name and face together. Professors are always willing to help and showing that you’re willing to put in the effort to see them will go a long way! #gpa #grades #studentathlete #premed #premedlife #collegestudent #medicalstudent #medicine #studymotivation
Freshman year is very important ⬇️‼️ A lot of students think they can wait until sophomore or junior year to get serious. Big mistake. Freshman year is where you build the foundation that makes everything else easier later. Here are 5 things I would do if I were starting over: 1️⃣ Build relationships with professors Not just for a letter of recommendation. Many introductory professors teach upper-level science courses too. If you build a relationship now and continue taking their classes, they’ll be able to speak about your growth over 2-3 years, not just one semester. Aim for at least 2 professors in different subjects. 2️⃣ Get a clinical certification Clinical experience is one of the hardest things to build because many jobs require certifications. Start thinking early: 🚑 EMT 🩺 Medical Assistant 🏥 CNA Don’t want a certification? Many private practices hire and train Medical Assistants on the job. 3️⃣ Start emailing research professors Research positions are competitive. The earlier you start emailing, the more options you’ll have. Don’t just join a lab because it’s available. Find a topic you’re actually interested in. 4️⃣ Start practicing CARS This might be the most underrated tip. You do NOT need additional coursework to improve CARS. Starting early gives you time to develop: 📚 reading discipline 🧠 reasoning skills 📈 test-taking strategy Without the pressure of MCAT season. 5️⃣ Apply to summer research programs These programs are incredible. You get: 💰 paid 🔬 research experience 🤝 networking 📄 strong recommendation letters And if your university doesn’t have many research opportunities, this is one of the best ways to get involved. There isn’t one perfect path to medical school. But these 5 things made a huge difference for me and set me up well for the application cycle I’m going through right now. 💬 Freshmen: which one of these are you working on first? 🧠 I also host FREE 2-hour premed office hours every weekend where anyone can join and ask questions. Come with me as I take my first @blueprintmcatprep Blueprint 515+ full-length MCAT exam. In this video, I walk you through how I approached each section, how I managed breaks and mindset, and most importantly how I used the Blueprint analytics to turn my baseline score into a strategic study plan. The biggest takeaway? A full-length isn’t just a test it’s a diagnostic tool. I’m breaking down patterns, identifying weak spots, and building toward that 515+ with intention. So let’s lock in. #blueprintmcat #blueprint515 #premedlife

Nobody ever taught you how to study 📚 Most premeds got straight A's in high school without really studying. Reread the notes, highlight, memorize the study guide someone handed you. It worked, because the exams only asked what was on the guide. College asks you to use it on something you haven't seen, and that is the first time a lot of very smart students find out they never learned how. #premed #premedstudent #studytips #collegelife #premedlife
Medical school starts in a few weeks, and most people are focused on laptops, iPads, and study resources. But looking professional matters too. You don’t need designer clothes. You don’t need a huge wardrobe. You just need a few versatile pieces that will carry you through orientation, clinical skills, shadowing, networking events, presentations, and eventually interviews. A little preparation now saves a lot of stress later. Send this to a guy who’s starting medical school this fall. And ladies, tag your favorite female medical creator so they can make the women’s version 👀 Comment “APP” to apply for an exclusive creator event I’m hosting in 📍ATLANTA with @caittheegreat__ . It’s completely FREE, but space is limited. We’ll be selecting creators and professionals who are serious about growing their brand, creating content, and building opportunities online. #PremedLife #MedicalStudent #FutureDoctor #MensStyle #MensFashion

How I maximize my productivity as a 4.0 (D1) Pre-med student-athlete :) 1. Hard tasks first - Tackling your most challenging tasks when your energy and focus are at their peak (early morning is best for me) allows you to make significant progress. This sets a productive tone for the rest of the day and helps you complete tasks more efficiently! 2. 5-minute rule - This rule encourages you to start a task with a commitment to working on it for just five minutes. The idea is that once you begin, you’re likely to overcome the initial resistance and continue working on the task for longer than five minutes which in turn increases productivity :) 3. Pomodoro technique - this technique is designed to improve productivity and focus by breaking work into short, timed intervals. My method is to work on tasks for an hour straight without any distractions (phone, etc.) and then take a 10 minute break after. Traditionally, most people utilize a 25 minute block with a 5 minute break afterwards. Every individual is different so try different time blocks and do whatever works best for you :) #productivity #productivityhacks #productivitytips #productivityhabits #gpa #studentathlete #premed #premedlife #collegestudent #medicalschool #medicalstudent #studymotivation
None are required for med school, but they can help prepare for the rigor of pre med and med school! #premed #premedlife #apclasses #medicalschool
