In honor of #SecondChanceMonth, New Jersey’s @GovMurphy granted 93 pardons and commutations this week, including to those impacted by excessive drug-related sentences. To date, Governor Murphy has signed more clemency petitions than all governors combined in the past 30 years—and he has promised more are to come before he leaves office. 👏
Just thanking God in the month of Second Chances. #SecondChanceMonth @timemovie @timetwomovie

Watching movies as a kid got JJ’88 interested in storytelling. He would watch VHS tapes with his dad and loved seeing how different artists could bring him into their stories. But when he was only 15, JJ’88 was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison. Now, he’s harnessing the power of storytelling to help bring more understanding between system-impacted individuals and those deemed “free.” We are proud to call JJ’88 a 2024 Represent Justice Ambassador and elevate his storytelling. #SecondChanceMonth
Second chances aren’t charity, they’re justice. Too many people are locked out of opportunity because of past convictions, even after doing everything right. At TimeDone, we’re fighting to remove barriers, unlock opportunities, and make freedom real rather than theoretical. When people can move forward, families heal and communities thrive. This #SecondChanceMonth, we’re not just telling stories, we’re changing policy. 💙 Like if you believe in second chances. #SecondChances #TimeDone #CriminalJusticeReform #EndMassIncarceration
It’s #SecondChanceMonth and we believe everybody deserves the chance to turn their life around. Warrant clinics provide people with the resources they need to get their lives back on track and help remove barriers to clearing warrants.

Adam Clausen (@adam213isfree) was sentenced to 213 years. When he earned his way home, he found himself trapped again—this time on federal supervision. He was one of 110,000 people living under a supervised release system that was meant to support reentry, but instead punishes people trying to rebuild. The Safer Supervision Act would remove the roadblocks that hold people back—and give those who’ve earned a second chance an opportunity to rebuild their lives. 📖 Read Adam’s story, and learn why the Safer Supervision Act can’t wait.
