I know traveling solo can feel intimidating. You start thinking:
“What if I get lonely?”

“Maybe I should wait until someone can come with me.” I had those thoughts too. But here’s what I learned: waiting for the “perfect time” or the “perfect travel buddy” often means not going at all. Every solo trip has taught me something new. It made me more confident, more independent and showed me that I can handle so much more than I ever thought. And honestly? Some of my favorite memories happened because I decided to go anyway. So if you’ve been thinking about booking that trip, this is your sign. Don’t wait for permission.

5 things I’ve learnt as a solo traveller: 1. Slow down, you don’t have to see everything at once. 2. Don’t go to a place just for a photo, because everyone else has been there, or “to say you’ve been there.” If you have no interest, don’t waste your time. Go do something that interests you. 3. Travelling showed me to enjoy the present moment because later you be wishing you were that exact moment again. 4. Remember every friend you have now was once a stranger. Talk to everyone. Give someone a compliment. I have met some of my best travel friends from literally just smiling at them, everyone is seeking connection. 5. Be prepared for the unexpected. Shit things will happen, and sometimes you. won’t have someone with you. Learn to deal with things out of your control. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.
