I’ve been doing a LOT of movements to strengthen my feet and balance these past 12 months that have played a big role in improving my dynamic balance, foot strength, and movement ability. Full YouTube video about this coming in 2 weeks 🔥.
-
Wearing soccer cleats and narrow toe box shoes for 16 years had a massive negative impact on my feet and movement ability. Habits like this are helping me become springier, quicker, and a better athlete as time goes by.
-
Go on amazon, buy some cheap marbles and practice some of this stuff when you’re at home or whenever you have time. The stationary foot and leg is doing a lot of work to keep the body from totally losing its balance when swinging, and a skill like this can benefit ALL forms of movement.
-
I learned this idea from Robert Schleip’s Book “Fascial Fitness” and Chong Xie (secretofathleticism) , Chong has some really great info on improving the strength and integrity of your feet and fascia.

Do you do any foot strengthening movements currently?
Sometimes you’re juggling and a strange question pops up:
“Can I throw a punch before the next catch?”
-
It looks messy.
But stacking movements teaches timing, relaxation, and adaptability.
-
Weighted Juggling + shadowboxing is way more fun than it has any right to be.
-
DM me “flow” to learn this stuff

When you begin to expose your body to different ranges of motion, those ranges become safe. If done too quickly, injury can happen.
-
In reference to the prior post, I’ve slowly worked on exposing my body to larger and larger ranges of motion with load. Each week I’m able to get into deeper positions with full control of my body in those ranges. What ends up happening is I gain STRENGTH in those ranges. This isn’t passive flexibility. These are ranges I have full control of and access to.
-
My friend @alain.ngalani does an amazing job with this, I’ve paid attention to the way he uses weights. A concept to think about when you’re in the gym is how can the weight you’re lifting potentially open up your body? Mess around with it. If something feels sketch, back off, but don’t totally avoid it. Sometimes those ranges that feel sketch just need some progressive love. Over time your body will be able to have control in that specific range. Start everything with light load, and progress from there.
-
There’s a lot to think about but remember 1 more thing. DON’T hold your breath. We have an instinct to brace and hold our breath when going into ranges of motion that we haven’t been to before. This will cause your body to guard itself from that range and your body will tighten up. Try to breathe into your diaphragm slowly and through the nose. Let yourself relax, this will make these gains much easier to achieve. #strongerhuman
Training camp is almost at its peak — less than a month until Nepal. 🏔️
I caught a little bug, so I’ve been giving my body a couple days to reset. Recovery is just as important as the grind.
That doesn’t mean I stop moving. Rope flow keeps my neurons firing, sharpens coordination, and brings me back to presence. It’s not just movement for the body, it’s medicine for the mind — a way to tune out the noise of the world and drop fully into rhythm.
Today, I’m flowing light with a rope from The Stronger Human by @nsimainyang — proof that even when you scale back, you can still move forward.#Bredah #Brotherhood #Bredahood #EBC #Everest #IslandPeak #EverestForHealing #ClimbForACause #MountainsAndMats #Altitude #MenRiseTogether #BreatheLikeABredah #TheBreathDojo #HikingTherapy #TrekkingNepal #OutdoorAdventure #SummitGoals #MovementMedicine #RopeFlow #StrongerHuman #Nsimainyang #FlowState #BrainBodyConnection #RecoveryIsTraining
Should we all have unrestricted access to junk food? Are YOU disciplined enough to have it lurking in your kitchen?
-
In theory, sure. If you’re one of those responsible adults who can buy Oreos and manage to eat only 4-5 at a time and call it a day, kudos to you! That level of discipline is Jocko-esque.
-
But here’s the kicker: these tempting treats were engineered to turn us into snacking machines. Try eating just 8 Doritos and stopping... it’s like trying to resist petting a puppy—it’s not easy, especially for me.
-
So here’s my survival strategy: I don’t keep the junk in the house. If it’s not readily available, I’ll naturally gravitate towards wholesome, healthy food. You see, I know I lack the self-control to enjoy just 1/3 of a pint of Ben and Jerry’s, or a modest stack of 5 Oreos, or even a tiny bowl of cereal. I’m an enthusiastic eater, and I’m not shy about it—I’m 250 lbs, after all! If I bring home a pint of Ben and Jerry’s, you better BELIEVE I’m making it disappear.
-
Of course, I also stock up on healthier alternatives. @questnutrition and @legendaryfoods make some amazing protein bars/snacks that hit the spot without sabotaging your macronutrient intake. And let’s not forget the @ninjakitchen Ninja Creami; it’s like having a protein-packed ice cream wizard in your kitchen. It easily satisfies those ice cream cravings that we all have. If you’ve got other suggestions, hit me in the comments. I like to eat 🤗 #strongerhuman
Got lower back pain? These additions to your daily routine will bring some pain relief.
-
Attack your hamstrings. Elephant walks can be done ANYWHERE. Do them daily to loosen up those hamstrings.
-
The Romanian deadlift can be done with any type of load. A dumbbell, a suitcase, whatever your sweet leetle heart desires. You can also do it off of a ledge to increase your ROM. This will help strengthen the hamstrings at length so you’ll be getting stronger AND more flexible.
-
To attack the lower back ANYWHERE The cat-cow is a movement you can with NO WEIGHT. Over time it’ll get easier to do as your back gains more movement ability (it also works as a surprisingly effective mating dance).
-
Lastly, use the cable machine to attack the lower back with load, you can do this seated or standing.
-
Give these a shot consistently and you’ll be throwin it back in no time 🤌🏾🍑. #stayflexy #strongerhuman #pumpitup

Stay tuned for the episode of @mbpowerproject with @movementbydavid next week!

Most people overcomplicate fat loss. Samarth didn’t.
Instead of guessing, we focused on what actually works:
✔️ Mastering the fundamentals of nutrition & strength
✔️ Setting clear goals (and actually following through)
✔️ Fueling his body instead of starving it
✔️ Training like an athlete—pushing himself every session
The result? He became the strongest version of himself.
Who’s ready to do the same?
Drop a 💪 if you’re next!

Coming off of a 3 month back injury and desperate to try anything and everything to heal my pain, I started rope flow. When I first heard about it, I thought it was a bit hokey. Then more and more about people started sharing their experience with it and how it helped them get out of their pain. I thought “ah, what the hell” and decided to give it a try.
From the first time swinging the rope to today, i can’t think of one time rope flow hasn’t made me feel better. No matter if it was for 1 minute or 30 minutes.
The relief and relaxation from allowing the rope to ~flow~ is something hard to describe.
For me, it has helped my spinal column feel “lubricated” in a way dead hangs or conversion tables couldn’t.
On top of the physical remedies, it has been an amazing tool for clearing my mind of any noise or distraction, and forced me to be fully present and attentive to how my body is moving through space.
Truly amazing.

The fastest way to start feeling old isn’t dictated by a number.
It’s when you stop doing the things that make you athletic.
Sprinting.
Changing direction.
Bending down and touching the ground.
Pivoting.
Exploding back the other way.
A lot of us slowly stop doing these things, and then wonder why our body starts feeling older than it is.
Every now and then, I like to remind my body that we’re still capable of moving fast.
Sandbag shuttle runs for the win. Let’s get it let’s go.
