2026 NORTH DEVON ARMED FORCES COMMUNITY FORUM Yesterday we hosted third-sector organisations and professionals at our first Forum event to discuss how we can all work together to strengthen support for the Armed Forces community. By joining the Forum, organisations become part of a co-ordinated partnership that improves referral pathways, communication, and joint working, helping to reduce gaps and duplication in services. The Forum complements existing welfare provision and provides a professional platform for charities and support services committed to delivering joined-up, effective support to serving personnel, veterans, spouses, and families. Our very own Shelley & Jon did an excellent job hosting the evening and we had two wonderful guest speakers @that.military.wife and @smuddz who kindly shared their personal stories of military life and highlighted the gaps in support that they have experienced. We had a great evening and the support for the military community was very much felt. I had the chance to chat at SAWS with Ali from The Honor Foundation — and this conversation matters. On Friday, February 20, the NCO Development Symposium convened senior leaders, noncommissioned officers, and institutional partners in a strategic forum dedicated to strengthening and professionalizing the Noncommissioned Officer Corps across the hemisphere. Led by the Inter-American Defense College, the Inter-American Defense Board, with participation from the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation and the National Guard Bureau, the symposium highlighted the strategic value of multinational cooperation, institutional partnerships, and professional military education in advancing NCO development. Heading to San Francisco today to kick off what’s shaping up to be a very busy year of speaking engagements, seminars, and workshops with first responders all across the country.
