I’m 42, a full-time working mum of four, and these are the things I probably shouldn’t admit out loud… 1. Sometimes I look at other women who work, have kids, exercise, keep their house together and still somehow seem fine and think… what am I doing wrong? 2. I can manage a team, make big decisions, deal with deadlines and get through a full work day, then come home and be completely done in by dinner, washing, school bags and four kids all needing something at once. 3. I don’t want to stop working. I’ve worked too hard for my career. But I also don’t want every day to feel like I’m rushing from one thing to the next and never actually catching up. 4. I love my kids more than anything, but I don’t think becoming a mum means you stop wanting things for yourself. I still want a career. I still want money. I still want to build something of my own. I still want to feel like me. 5. When I’m at work I think about the kids. When I’m with the kids I think about work. Half the time I feel like I’m doing one thing while thinking about the five other things I should be doing. 6. If one of my kids gets sick, one of my first thoughts is usually: shit, what am I going to do about work? Then I feel terrible that I even thought that. 7. I’m also sick of hearing that working mums just need to be more organised. I am organised. There are still only 24 hours in a day. 8. And maybe this is the part people won’t agree with, but I don’t think a lot of women are bad at “balancing it all”. I think there’s just too much to balance in the first place. I don’t have some nice inspirational ending for this. I’m just trying to be a good mum, do well at a job I’ve worked hard for and not completely lose myself in the middle of it. Tell me I’m not the only one. #WorkingMum #WorkingMumLife #MumOfFour #WomenWhoWork #PerthMum
Somehow it all works out Hi, I’m Caoimhe 👋 I’m an Irish mum of two, a senior leader managing a global team & someone who’s still occasionally discovering the washing in the machine 2 days later I share honest stories about building a career, raising kids, using AI to work smarter & making life a little bit simpler without pretending to have it all figured out. If you’re ambitious, exhausted, and just trying your best… you’re in the right place ❤️ #corporatemum #workingmumlife
Something I’m grateful for every day ✨ Yes being a working mum is challenging but I get to do both 💖 #workingmumlife #workingmama #workingmums #corporatemum
Raise your hand 🙋🏽‍♀️ Comment SPACE4U if you agree! Being a mum means there’s no clock-off time. Whether you’re working, staying at home, or somewhere in between… it never stops! ⏰ With Jesse, we have little family support, and daycare only covers work hours… so yep, we feel this one! People without kids can’t quite grasp how much it takes to be a mum, physically, mentally, emotionally. If you relate, send this to a mum who needs to know she’s not alone 💕 → Follow @estelle.cicala for honest motherhood moments + tips to regain time & calm. #momlife #motherhood #busymum #overwhelmedmum #parentingishard
ANOTHER MUM BITES THE DUST 😬 I’ve quit my career. Still can’t quite believe I’m saying it out loud tbh. Especially given how I was so confident that “becoming a mum won’t change anything” 🙃 It’s only gone and changed everything, hasn’t it? I know other people in the same situation might have made different choices. I’m not telling anyone how to live their lives. But for me, I feel like I only get this time with my kids once. I’m not making the sacrifices, compromises and wasting that time for a job that was making me miserable and unwell. And there’s so much I want to say about what the world of work looks like for us mums, where so many are being pushed out for various reasons relating to family life, despite us being raised to believe we could “have it all” (*cough* bullshit *cough*). But that’s a conversation for another time. Are we having to make tough choices financially to make this work? Is it a big gamble? Yes to both. But my youngest starts school in September and it feels like if I don’t do it now then when? So thank you so much for your support that’s given me the nudge to try this. If you’re in the thick of trying to make work “fit” around school and family life - I see you. I WANT MORE MONEY. But I don’t want to work more hours. 🙋🏼‍♀️ There. I said it. 😂 I’m a 44-year-old working mum. I work part-time and term-time, and I’ve worked bloody hard to get that flexibility. So why, when we want to earn more money, is the answer always to go full-time, pick up overtime or get a second job? I haven’t lost my ambition. I’ve just changed what I’m willing to sacrifice. I want more income. More family holidays. More financial breathing room. More choices. But NOT at the expense of the time I’ve fought so hard to protect. That’s why I’m learning how to build additional income online, alongside my corporate job, on MY terms. Because working part-time doesn’t mean I’m only PART ambitious. 👏🏼 💬 Working mums, tell me… would you rather earn more by working extra hours, or find another way? #WorkingMumsOver40 #PartTimeWorkingMum #TermTimeWorking #ExtraIncomeIdeas #EarnMoneyOnline FlexibleIncome WorkingMumLife WomenOver40 WorkLifeBalance DigitalMarketingForBeginners OnlineIncome MumLife

Reality of being self employed! I don’t share things like this normally. I’ve also had so many people say the same. So thought I’d do a video on it. #clean #selfemployed #cancellations #workingmumlife #runningabusiness
