Would you dare to drink coffee in a coffin? ⚰️ @gianaarmellini ◄ Hit that Follow for more things to do! This bizarre café in Bangkok blends coffee, death, and philosophy. At Kid Mai Death Awareness, you can sip your drink in a real coffin, explore a death-themed escape room, and even write your own last words. It’s not about fear — it’s about reflection. The goal? To make you appreciate life a little more by facing what we usually avoid: death itself. 🔪🩸 Located near BTS Ari, it’s part art installation, part social experiment, and 100% unforgettable. Entrance is free, and the drinks are surprisingly good — especially their black signature coffee served with a death-themed twist. 💉 💡Save this spot and remember your visit! Across San Diego County, people are gathering to talk about something many Americans still avoid…death. KPBS health reporter Heidi de Marco visited a Death Cafe in Encinitas and says interest in these conversations is growing. 📝 📸 @heididemarco
Our pets understand so much more than we realize. A beautiful reminder from today’s conversation: being present with our pets at the end helps them know they were never abandoned. Un death cafè è uno spazio sicuro dove incontrarsi e parlare di uno degli argomenti più tabù del mondo: la morte! . . #death #deathcafe #Deathcaferoma #morte
The holidays are often a time when grief can feel more pronounced.  It's a time when the world is telling you that you should be happy, and feeling festive,  there's more events and people around you and yet support can feel quite far away.  For some this will be their first holiday period without a loved one. For some it will be another year without a much-wanted babe in their arms. For some it will be a year of great financial stress and burden. So many losses can rear their head around this time and are worthy of being acknowledged and supported. Amy from @brisbanegriefcounselling and I will be hosting one last Death Café for the year, to bring our community together at this time of great joy and oftentimes great sadness. The beauty of a Death Café is that there is no set agenda. The group that joins me on this day will choose what needs to be discussed, and where the conversation will go.  All voices and perspectives are welcome. If you have any questions, or would like to come along, please visit the link in my bio for more details and to register your attendance. 🪷We hope to see you there🪷 #brisbanecounselling #grieftherapistbrisbane #grieftherapistipswich #griefguide #bereavementcounsellingipswich #bereavementcounsellingbrisbane #palliativecareqld #griefandloss #griefsupport #deathcafe #bereavementsupport #griefaroundtheholidays
i’m sure you’ve heard “people come into your life for a reason, season or lifetime”, with regards to relationships - romantic or platonic. i hope you can see each person as a vehicle, as well. a connection that picked you up, carried you to a different chapter of yourself and dropped you off (not always gently, but that’s your work to find your feet, not theirs). a “living death” is when a relationship or connection dies. in death cafe/grief circles “living deaths” come up nearly as much as end of life deaths. i think this is because they are actually harder for some of us to make sense of, as the person is still alive but the relationship is not. forcing a relationship that is not elevating or helping one (or both) people grow, shifts from expectations to obligations to resentment… finally, pain and confusion. i want to let you know that grieving a living relationship is just as necessary as any other loss. this loss requires active grief and can be fertile ground for growth. i’m simply here to tell you it’s okay. it’s natural. many of these bridges don’t have to be burned, they can be honoured - even cherished - as wildflowers take up space between you.
