Across San Diego County, people are gathering to talk about something many Americans still avoid…death.

KPBS health reporter Heidi de Marco visited a Death Cafe in Encinitas and says interest in these conversations is growing.

Such an important conversation to be having as this will happen to all of us. As a hospice and palliative care nurse, i have seen so much fear and stigma associated with this topic. The more we openly talk and plan the less burden our families have to carry at the end of our lives. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️

Where can I find a schedule for the Death Cafe? Are there multiple in San Diego?
