Access isn’t a luxury; it’s what makes independence possible. When spaces, systems, and communities are designed with people with disabilities in mind, freedom stops being a fight and starts being a reality. Real access creates real choice, dignity, and opportunity. What does access and independence mean to you? #Accessbility #Independence #DisabilityCommunity
If this is what getting around London is like for you, imagine what it’s like trying to get around the whole world 😑 I say try not to let it stop you. And I love the sheer determination and passion from fellow wheelchair users like @adeadepitan. My last trip was to Australia. Should I share some of my trip? 🤔💭 #wheelchairtravel #wheelchairuser #accessibilitymatters #strokesurvivorsneverquit
• Fortunately, the taxi has a ramp… Yay! On my way to class at The University of Edinburgh 💃 • Moments like this remind me how powerful accessibility can be. A simple ramp turns what could have been a barrier into an opportunity. Instead of worrying about how to get into the taxi, I can focus on what truly matters; getting to class, learning, and showing up fully. • Accessibility for many of us represents freedom, independence, and dignity. It allows people with disabilities to participate in everyday life without unnecessary obstacles. Inclusion needs to stop being a conversation and become a lived experience.
