THE most important area of your life
the relationship you’re in, the person you’re sharing your nervous system with
is often the area that gets the least intention, education and care. Here are 6 things I genuinely wish every couple would do: 1️⃣ Keep focusing on yourself.
Your healing doesn’t stop because you’re in a relationship. Stay devoted to your own life, your interests, your friendships, your growth. Two individuals choosing each other is very different from two people losing themselves. 2️⃣ Commit to growing together.
Learn new skills. Do therapy. Go to workshops. Read the books. Relationships don’t thrive on love alone, they thrive on shared evolution. 3️⃣ Hone your communication skills.
Not just when things are falling apart. This is an ongoing practice, not a one-time conversation. 4️⃣ Never make assumptions. Stay curious.
No matter how long you’ve been together. This applies in everyday life and in the bedroom. Curiosity keeps desire and connection alive. 5️⃣ Have regular relationship check-ins.
Ideally weekly, at least monthly. This is how you catch things early and stop resentment from quietly building. 6️⃣ Create a pattern interrupt.
A word, a hand signal, a song, something you use when one of you is triggered to break the loop, soften the moment, and come back to each other. If you want to improve your health, you go to the gym.
You look at your nutrition. You move your body consistently. If you want to improve your mental or emotional health, you go to therapy. If you want to sleep better, you change your habits. But when it comes to relationships… You want better sex.
You want to stop having the same argument on repeat.
You want to feel close again, connected again, like you actually like each other again. And most people do… nothing. They wait.
They hope.
They assume it’ll just fix itself with time..it won’t, baby! Great relationships don’t happen by accident.
They’re built with intention, presence, and a willingness to keep learning. Follow @iamstephmorris if you want more real conversations about intimacy and conscious relationships.
You’re not crazy for wanting more. More warmth, touch and just more connection. You’re not “too much.” You’re just starving for intimacy (and that's amazing!). And here’s the truth no one tells you: The cost of staying stuck is higher than the cost of change. The cost is usually more distance, resentment and more silent nights lying next to a man who feels miles away. I know — because I’ve been there. The moment I decided to invest in myself instead of waiting for him to change… everything shifted. Not because he magically transformed. But because I did. And when a woman shifts, the entire marriage recalibrates. So let me ask you: If you truly believed your relationship could transform in weeks… What’s the first thing you’d want to know how to do? Drop it in the comments. I’m reading every single one. 👇✨

1. Love is easy. It’s not, it takes hard conversations, reflections, and much more. It’s not always happy and sometimes you’ll have your worst days with your partner but what matters is that you guys are together and you will find a way out. Theres growing pains and it does take effort. 2. If something is meant to be, it will be. In a sense, you can’t control everything, but that doesn’t mean you leet everything go at the same time. You have to do what you can, put in the effort, and take the opportunities presented to you. WIthout effort, and if you let everything be serendipitous then are things reall meant to be? 3. Just love is enough to make the relationship exciting. No, you need loyalty, respect, communication, empathy and more. It’s also not always supposed to be exciting. Relationships are where you find peace and comfort. It’s not always the thrill. 4. Relationships are 50/50. No, sometimes it’s 90/10, sometimes it’s 30/70. You and your partner will both have bad days and both of you might have to pick each other up when times are tough. It won’t always be 50/50, sometimes you have to give a little more effort but that’s how love works. 5. No arguments is a good thing. It could be, but that doens’t mean you should avoid all the hard conversations that come your way. Almost every couple fights or has some sort of disagreement. What matters is how you and your partner grow and resolve the argument together as a couple follow for more! #relationships #love #couple
1. Love doesn’t remove loneliness. You can be deeply in love and still feel alone sometimes. Your partner cannot meet every emotional need. Expecting one person to be your best friend, therapist, motivator, and constant support creates silent pressure. 2. Attraction changes. Not disappears — changes. Stress, kids, work, hormones, routine — they all affect desire. Many couples panic when intensity drops, thinking something is wrong. In reality, stable love feels calmer than early passion. 3. You will trigger each other’s childhood wounds. The way they go quiet. The way you react fast. The small habits that irritate you often connect to old patterns, not the present moment. Relationships activate parts of you that single life never touches. 4. Conflict does not mean incompatibility. Avoiding conflict feels peaceful at first, but it slowly builds distance. Healthy couples argue, repair, and reconnect. Silence is often more dangerous than disagreement. 5. Growth is uneven. Sometimes one partner evolves faster. New goals. New mindset. New boundaries. That can create tension. The work is learning to grow together without competing. 6. Commitment is daily. It’s not a wedding day decision. It’s small choices: listening when tired, apologizing when wrong, staying when it’s uncomfortable. No one warns you that love is not just a feeling. It’s emotional endurance and teamwork. The question isn’t “Is this hard?” It’s “Are we willing to work through hard?” Which struggle surprised you the most? And what love means to you?
Here’s what nobody tells you about “relationship goals”: the magic isn’t in never breaking. It’s in how beautifully you rebuild. ✨ You can tell everything about a couple not by watching them at brunch, but by watching what happens when someone messes up. Do they retreat into separate corners or find their way back to each other’s humanity? ❤️ The couples who make it aren’t the ones who never disconnect. They’re the ones who’ve learned that disconnection is just the comma, not the period. Real intimacy lives in the aftermath when someone says “I was wrong” and actually means it. When you can be pissed off without making it dangerous. It’s a fools game to romanticize the highlight reel. The measure of love isn’t in the absence of mess, it’s in your willingness to clean it up together. Again and again. Without keeping score. #relationships #love #connection
It wasn’t just one thing… This time last year I was pacing the kitchen, quietly crying while the kids were asleep, asking myself how we got here. How after 14yrs and 2 break ups later - 2 people who loved each other so deeply could feel so disconnected. How to separate civilly. How to protect our 3 kids. How to not blame. How to not break. How to just… keep it all together. After months of true interoception.. We’re back to displaying PDA. I let myself be held by him as he takes the lead. I trust in his divine provision. We make intimate love regularly like it’s the first & the last time all at once. The truth of what happened? It’s not that he did something specific for me. Or because “he changed” I dearmored my heart. I spent the majority of my life attached to the “strong independent woman” identity. In my business it served me as I scaled to multi-6 figures. In my relationship - not so much. Very much the “I don’t need anyone” mentality. And without realizing it... I was holding a deep disrespect and lack of trust towards my finance. Not because I hated him, but because I didn’t want to honor his discernment for our family. So I led. In every room. In every conversation. And that’s the energy he felt from me. That he wasn’t fully let in. That I couldn’t soften. That there wasn’t space for his masculine. And I now believe - my leadership is most sovereign when I lead from the deep feminine. From truth. From love. This is exactly what I help you navigate. To soften your womb, to let the strong independent woman persona fall…which ultimately keeps love, clarity & money youre craving OUT… Now she’s a mama of 3 building a soul-led relationship coaching biz w/ ease. Being fully held in her partnership & locked in clarity in her business. This is your sign - your tenderness is your MF superpower. Your strength is your MF superpower. Pleasure in business AND your relationship DO get to coexist - it’s a matter of embodying polarity & discerning which/when gets to lead. Can you recognise yourself in these signs? I used to attach too quickly to a man. He had to be consistent for a few dates and I was hooked already envisioning our future together 😅 1. You imagine the future too soon. You’ve only known him for two weeks and you’re already picturing your wedding. When he doesn’t text back, it hurts more than it should because you’re attached to a dream, not the real man in front of you. 2. You rearrange your life for him. You skip yoga, cancel dinner with friends, or wait around “just in case” he calls. It feels romantic, but it quietly tells your body that he’s more important than your own life. 3. You open up too fast. You tell your story, your pain, your childhood wounds right away. It feels like connection, but deep down it’s a rush for safety. True intimacy takes time. 4. You feel anxious when he’s quiet. When he doesn’t reply, your body tightens, your thoughts race, and you start overthinking what you said. That’s not intuition. That’s your attachment system searching for security. 5. You already call him “different.” After a few dates you tell yourself, “This one is special.” You act exclusive without ever having that talk, because your heart is already two steps ahead. 6. You read into everything. You look for meaning in every emoji, every silence, every pause. It’s your nervous system trying to find certainty before there’s any. 7. You try to be the “perfect” woman. You laugh more, hold back opinions, or dress the way you think he likes. It’s not manipulation, it’s fear of losing connection showing up as effort. 8. You feel empty after each date. There’s a high while you’re together and a crash when he’s gone. You crave the next message, not because it’s love, but because your body attached before your heart felt safe. It wasn’t always like this 👇🏽 🔥 17 years in, and my partner is the man every woman dreams of — and it all started with me healing myself. There was a time when I was reactive, insecure, and constantly frustrated. I expected him to “fix” what I felt missing inside me. I blamed him for my fear, my overthinking, my emotional highs and lows — and the more I pushed, the further away he seemed. Then I realized something powerful 👇🏽 When we are triggered by our partner’s behavior, it’s a reflection of what we lack and need to heal within ourselves. I learned that I couldn’t expect my partner to meet needs I couldn’t meet for myself — the need to feel safe, to acknowledge my own emotions, to regulate my nervous system, to truly connect with myself. When I began meeting my own needs, taking responsibility for my emotional state, and showing up from a healed, self-led place, everything shifted. Today 👇🏽 He’s an A+ provider who takes accountability, expresses his needs clearly, and pushes me to show up as my truest self. He plans thoughtful dates, stays emotionally present, and is an active, loving dad. Our connection is deeper, our love feels safe, and our partnership thrives — not because he changed, but because I did. If you feel like your relationship is stuck, if triggers and fear are running the show, know this: healing yourself first changes everything. You don’t need to wait for your partner to be “perfect.” You create the environment for love to flourish by mastering your own heart, mind, and nervous system. ✨ I am looking for one woman who is: ~ Courageous, even when scared ~ Ready to do the inner work ~ Already invested in herself through coaching, therapy, retreats, well-being practices, ~ Willing to take responsibility for the role she plays in her relationships ~ Eager to step into the journey she hasn’t fully walked yet from a woman who has. If this is you, comment “YES” and let’s have a no pressure chat to see if mentorship is right fit to transform your love life from the inside out. #reconnectwithyourpartner #healyourselffirst #meetyourneeds #stopblamingyourpartner

I had no idea love could actually feel like THIS… For a while, When we weren’t having -intense discussions -breaking through our intimacy blocks -talking about every emotion that came up I felt bored. I’d question if he was actually opening up to me, or if he was hiding stuff. I worried our love life was staying stagnant and start to bring unnecessary drama into our relationship to feel connected to him again. Then id feel stressed. We’d have useless arguments. I’d spiral. What I had to realize is I wasn’t addicted to connection ❌I was addicted to chaos. ✅ When you grow up in a house hold where love felt like pressure, stress and walking on egg shells… Later on in romantic relationships, you tend to unconsciously think 🤔 you’re losing your ‘passion’ in your relationship when you’re not in a constant state of fix, repair, solve and fight or flight anymore. When your body isn’t on high alert in love… when there isn’t a problem to manage, an emotion to fix or a person to protect yourself from… Your nervous system will try and bring you back to a familiar place by creating drama and finding problems that don’t actually exist so that you FEEL connected again. But what’s happening is your body you’re confusing chaos with connection. 🥹❤️‍🩹When what true connection feels like is -we can individually repair and come back together -life can be slow and less “passionate” sometimes and we’re still super connected and turned on -A partner means more support and regulation NOT more stress and distraction What you need to learn how to do is rewire your nervous system to feel safe with calm and supportive love. Then you’ll start to truly let it in, you’ll have discernment for what behaviours are NOT that. Or you’ll attract people that make you feel that way. If you want to learn how to do this, comment “TRAINING” and I’ll send you a dm. #intimacy #couplestherapy #safelove #marriage #secureattachment
1️⃣ He comes to you after a hard day You’re where he unloads stress, not where he builds plans. You’re relief — not direction. 2️⃣ He wants closeness, not conversations about the future Cuddles, sleepovers, intimacy — yes. Timelines, intentions, commitment — suddenly “too much.” 3️⃣ He’s emotionally open, but strategically stuck He shares fears, traumas, thoughts. But when it comes to moving forward — he freezes. Depth without direction. 4️⃣ Plans are always last-minute You’re never scheduled — only fitted in. Priority makes space. Comfort fills gaps. 5️⃣ He disappears when you ask “where is this going?” Not because he doesn’t understand the question. Because he doesn’t want to answer it. 6️⃣ He loves that you’re “easy-going” Translation: you don’t demand clarity. He rewards you for asking for less. 7️⃣ He says you’re special — but doesn’t integrate you You’re not meeting the people who matter. You’re not part of real decisions. Special with no place is still nowhere. 8️⃣ He keeps his options open without saying it out loud No labels. No boundaries. No closure. Comfort thrives where accountability is optional. 9️⃣ He leans on you during low points — but disappears during growth moments You’re there for the fall, not invited to the climb. 🔟 You feel calm with him… but also paused Not chosen. Not moving. Just… waiting. Here’s the truth most people don’t want to hear: Comfort feels like love — until you realize you’re not being built with, only leaned on. If you felt this in your body while reading, trust that. 📩 Comment RESPECT — I’ll send you a guide in DMs on how to tell comfort from commitment and stop investing years into “almost” relationships. Follow. Love moves forward. Comfort stays still.
