My hobby of collecting sea shells has gotten a lot bigger 🫣 These giant shells were carved from layers of foam to be easily set on stage for this year’s production of The Tempest by @stratfest (Set Design by Julie Fox). Based on real shells, this project was so beautiful and I had so much fun painting them. As much as I love making miniatures, making small things huge is equally fun I was guided through this foam shell build by Matthew Burgess. I almost couldn’t believe how much foam is used and manipulated for the stage. If you’re wondering what something is made of, chances are it’s foam!
