🐱 Ellen is as close as can be with her 4-year-old rescue cat she named Tazzie Lee, and has been distraught since the feline escaped her carrier while arriving at a New York City airport just before Christmas. "Hi, my name is Ellen, and I lost my best friend at Terminal 4 JFK Airport," Ellen said in a video asking for help finding her pet. "I had Tazzie in a carrier, and unfortunately she jumped. And we chased and we tried to catch her, but we failed." The tuxedo cat got out of the carrier with a dysfunctional zipper while at JFK Terminal 4 arrivals on Dec. 20. Ellen is at the airport now every day handing out flyers, and even hired trappers to put out traps and cameras on the tarmac. "We have not had any sightings, which leads me to believe she is hiding, because I know this cat," Ellen told 1010 WINS. Ellen is hoping that anyone with information will come forward, and is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who can reunite her with Tazzie. "Tazzie, I want you to know, is my sunshine on a cloudy day," she said. 🎤 @macrosenberg reports 📹📸 Courtesy of Ellen 🔊 Tune into 1010 WINS at 92.3 FM for more local news #newyorkcity #nyc #nyclocalnews #nycnews #news #localnews #queens #JFK #JFKAirport #terminal4 #lostpet #lostcat #cats #catsofinstagram

If you ever hit a kangaroo or wombat, please stop if it’s safe and check the pouch. Many females carry a joey, and even if the mother doesn’t survive the collision, the baby inside sometimes does. Wildlife rescuers regularly save joeys this way. They’re often tiny, furless, and still completely dependent on the pouch for warmth and protection. Without someone checking, they’re almost impossible to spot and sadly don’t stand a chance. If you do find a joey, keep it warm and quiet (a jacket or towel works well) and contact a local wildlife rescue group as soon as you can. They’ll guide you on exactly what to do next. It’s one of those small things most people simply don’t know - but it can make the difference between life and death for a little joey. Please share so more people know to check the pouch. 🤎 #tasmania #wombat #australia

Introducing Wilma the Wombat - a local in the small Tasmanian town where I’m currently living and working. Fun facts about wombats: • They have cube-shaped poo — perfect for marking territory without it rolling away. • They can sprint up to 40 km/h over short distances. • Their bum is armour-plated to block burrow entrances from predators. • They dig massive burrows, sometimes over 20 meters long. • Joeys stay in the pouch for 6–7 months, and it faces backwards so it stays clean while mum digs. • Despite looking chill, wombats can be territorial and grumpy if cornered. • Young ones can fall prey to Tasmanian devil or large birds of prey. • Sadly, road strikes are a real threat — so watch your speed! Basically, wombats are cute but tough 🐾 #tasmania #wombats

✨ Meet Tazzie! ✨ This energetic 1-year-old Bull Arab is looking for his forever home...again! 🥺 He's a bundle of fun and loves to play, but he needs an experienced owner who can keep up with his zest for life! 🧠💪 Tazzie can be a bit jumpy and mouthy, but with the right training and socialization, he'll be the perfect companion. He needs a stable, adult-only home where he can be the center of attention. 🏡❤️ Sadly, Tazzie was recently adopted and returned after just a week. 😔 Remember the 3-3-3 rule! It takes time for a rescue dog to adjust. 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn the routine, and 3 months to truly bond. Tazzie needs patience and understanding as he settles in. Let's find this amazing dog the loving home he deserves! Can you be Tazzie's hero? Comment below if you think you can give him the perfect forever home! 👇 #adoptdontshop #rescuedog #bullarab #energeticdog #secondchance #dogsofinstagram #tazzie

Tazzie. She’s such a sweetheart. Despite being absolutely bonkers in her first year of puppy life, she is mellowing right down and growing up to be an awesome farm dog. She’s whip smart and so loyal. She kept trying to creep closer to me until I took the leaf from her mouth, and told her she was a good girl 💕 #HeelersOfInstagram #HeelerVibes #ILoveHeelers #TexasHeeler #TexasHeelerOfInstagram #heelergram #heelernation #FarmDog #FarmPup #BestDog #GoodDog #goodgirl #ILoveDogs #Dogs #InstaDog #DogReels #dogvideo #Doggo #pupper #cattledog #cattledogsofinstagram #australiancattledog #tazzie
