More people and families in Texas are facing the high costs of housing and the risk of homelessness than ever before. THN is committed to working with our state lawmakers this session and help them understand that proven strategies for addressing homelessness exist. This work depends on getting the real experts, people who have experienced homelessness, to the capital to take the lead on advocacy. Giving to THN today for #GivingTuesday will make it possible for them to come to Austin and champion real solutions. Please give today! For Giving Tuesday I am raising $2500 for the Texas Homeless Network to help support our advocacy work in Texas' 2025 legislative session. I don't have to tell you that it is going to be a tough session but we're determined to help people with lived experience from around the state visit Austin to speak directly to their representatives about what works and what doesn't. The link to our campaign is in my bio.

The Battle of Wine in Haro, La Rioja!

Totally wild and super fun event! Wine was tossed from buckets, squirted from water guns, sprayed from backpack weed sprayers, and hurled by any other possible means. It was hard to take photos of the event due to not wanting to get my phone ruined.

Hard to see but in 6, Taylor is pointing to the river of wine flowing down the road a ways down from the battle.

Welcome back to work Texas Leg! Texans, contact your House and Senate reps and let them know you want them to impeach Ken Paxton for his part in last week's insurrection. #impeachKenPaxton #texasleg taken in Austin, Texas by @tahititay

Say something like "Attorney General Ken Paxton is probably already on his way to jail, but Texas lawmakers should act this session to remove him from office. His past actions have already proved him to be amoral and an embarrassment to the State, but his recent desperate groveling to Donald Trump have lead him to be part of the dangerous mob that attempted to overthrow the federal government. He must be removed from office and I hope that you will help lead this effort in the upcoming legislative session."

Say something like "Please initiate proceedings to expel Senator Ted Cruz.
As today's events show, he is part of a dangerous radical group that wants to overthrow the US government. This is not a partisan issue: he flaunts the Construction, he insights rioting, and he is a threat to our democracy. If the Senate does not unite against this cancer it will continue to threaten our country for years to come. Stop the insurgency and start with stopping Ted."

Needles happen, and when they do don't be afraid: there are easy and safe ways to pick them up. Thank you @oneabq for the helpful information and @austintexasgov maybe you can share similar resources in our community? #harmreduction #sharps #pickuptrashwhenyouseeit taken in Albuquerque, New Mexico by @tahititay
