Steve, my favorite person, best friend, soulmate, most amazing teacher of all things, travel partner, best Dog Dad, creator of the business that helped us design our amazing life, my whole world, and the only person I wanted to experience every part of this life with, I miss you beyond anything and everything.

It already feels like it’s been a lifetime of missing your love, your laugh and smile, your jokes, and your embrace - which isn’t even the right word because it was always more than just a hug. And at the same time, the amount of time I have ahead of me on this earth to spend without you is purely dreadful. The gaping hole you left will never be filled, but I hope that all the memories and ever presence of your love will help. I know your soul is at peace and your spirit will always be with me. I miss you so incredibly much and will love you forever 💔

I am beyond heartbroken as so very many others are. Our Captain Steve made an incredible impact on every person he interacted with no matter if it was brief or a lifetime of knowing him. He cared, loved, laughed, and lived so passionately and made sure that everyone around him always felt that.

There is so much more to say about the incredibly amazing person that Steve was and always will be. The sheer amount of love and support that has been shown to me these last couple months is a true testament to what Steve meant to so very many people.

We can’t believe our Meadow girl is 14 years old today 🥳🐶👑 I could go on and on with all the stories and how much love and joy she has brought to us. But the best thing Meadow has taught me is about resilience, always making it work and still living life to the absolute fullest even through hard times. We were heartbroken when she first started going blind at 5 years old. She showed us very quickly that we didn’t need to be because she is a badass. Meadow figured everything out: how to still have the best time at the beach chasing tennis balls, in the snow catching snow balls, and running (then walking in older age) through the forests; how to adapt to her always changing environments (I swear we were good dog parents; we just loved to travel) of living on two different sailboats multiple times in Mexico, the Bahamas, and Florida, Truck Camper Road Trip life, constantly switching between our boats cruising, beaching, and camping on Lake Tahoe, and a full remodel of our house right after going blind.

We love you Meadow (and your 4 million nick names) 💕💙💕 Happy Birthday!!

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes! Special thanks to all my Captains and crew for the very special gift and everyone who contributed to an incredible weekend at Golden Roads and my special brunch. I love you all.

I’ll be at Classic Cue around 7:00 to celebrate along with Chad and Justin for their birthdays too. Planning on floating the river tomorrow around 1:00 from Elks Club as long as jury duty doesn’t take too long 😬 by @tahoebryant
