Hey Hey!
We’re Going on A Trip
To the @SAG-AFTRA Foundation
For a Q&A with Casting Directors
On Casting Primetime Dramas!

You May be Asking What Is A Primetime Drama?
And I Got an Answer for You:
Have You Ever Heard of A Soap Opera?
Because That’s What Primetime Television & Dramas are: #SoapOpera & the Other Shows that Play Between 9-5!

The Panel Included:
@greg.salmon.casting (with The Young & the Restless), @therealkimcoleman (with Beyond the Gates),
Christi Dooley (with The Bold & the Beautiful) &
Marnie Saitta @bostongrl23 (Days of Our Lives)!

Here’s the Thing I’m Still New to LA
So I was Excited to See & Hear From:
Casting Directors, I haven’t got to Meet Or
Audition For Yet.

I Was Also Really Really Excited to Be In the Same Room
As A Casting Director that Has Brought Me In
From The Start of My Career & Continues To Call Me In… Because I Know It’s All About #DivineTiming
& Everything Working Out Exactly
When It’s Supposed To! #TrusttheProcess #ActorsLife #getreadywithme taken in SAG-AFTRA by @taileshaun

Hey Hey,
This Is Me Getting Ready for My
Muggle Job & I’m Waiting &
It’s Hard but I Know One Day
A Whole Team Will be Getting
Me Ready.
I’m Still Waiting to Hear
What’s Next & Remaining Prayeful & Hopeful

One Thing They Don’t Tell
People About Acting….
It’s a Waiting Game!
(Until it’s Not. Which is A Time
Excited to Have Soon)

Until You’re Offer Only or Producing the Project or Tied in From the Start,
You Have to Wait to Hear Results.
You Have to Wait to Get Auditions,
You Have to Wait to Hear Back from Your Team, &
You Have to Wait to Hear What the Next Steps Are.

But This Brings Me Back to #TrusttheProcess
We Can’t Control Anything
But Ourselves & If You Try
to Worry About the Uncontrollable
You’re Going to Lose It &
Be Really Hard on Yourself.

Hey Hey,
Let’s Get Real For A Moment #tbh:

No One Ever Talks About the Ebbs & Flows of
Acting. People Only See the Result.
So If There Is No Visual Momentum or
Result, They Think You’re Not Doing
Anything or Trying.

Trust Me We ARE Trying, But the Industry
Can Be Like a Dating App:
They Like You & They Pop Up & Are Present,
You Put the Best Version of Yourself Out,
Hope They Like You & Stay with You.
But Sometimes You’re Not the Right Fit
& It’s Silence & It Feels Like They Ghosted You.
Then Another Audition Comes & You Hope
This Is It!

I Had Someone Ask, “Are Still Trying to Make
It Out There in LA?”
For a Second, I Was Taken Back & Didn’t Know
What to Answer then I Said, “Yes!”
Because It’s Been a Few Weeks & There’s Been No
Auditions or Updates, But My Other Creative Mediums
Have Been Flourishing & I Love What I Do!
So Yeah It’s Been Two Months Since I’ve Been on Set
& Two Years Before that But the Silent Traction
Has Been Going Crazyyyy!

BTW, Did You Know I’m a Writer As Well?!?
The More You Know! Stay Tuned 💋
