May 9th 2011... picking some homies up with some Brits in their 47s. It was an 8 plane division with some dirty Deltas on standby, I think some Plopters... Apaches in a holding pattern... Drones, and some fixed wing overhead... "I guess you can say things are getting pretty serious". Someday I'll stop being a caveman and add music and make videos.

31st MEU with HMM-265 Dragons. Phrogs back then.
This was the deployment where 60% of the bars and businesses closed after that last lockdown. Only Samurais and like one other made it for years.
I remember the boxing matches with the C-130 guys behind the barracks back then before they moved to Iwakuni. The holes in the fence. The H barracks was still condemned …

Finally trying to get some old footage out there… it only took 15 years, 2 months of seasonal sobriety and a rainy California day to muster the patience.

Time moves so fast when you never stop moving. I still feel like that 24 year old… until everyones talking too loud or mumbling, and I hate everyone in the grocery line. #oif #heavylift #oldman #usmc #hmh465 taken in Anbar, Iraq by @tailrotorauthority
