Last Saturday at @anaminfest lab will live in my heart forever. It was the first time playing my album live to so many beautiful, open minded people, that’s who it was always meant for.

Feeling the vulnerability and sharing glimmers of my soul taught me great things, and I’m so grateful for all the support. Thank you @selectadjs for the beautiful sound. Thank you @anaminfest fam for BEING my new favourite cozy spot in Al Serkal. Thank you to everyone who passed by ❤️ much love and see you soon x taken in Al Serkal Avenue, Al Quoz by @taim8xo

Album Listening Session
ه Echoes of Time by Taim Dahoul ه
Al Serkal Avenue, Warehouse 67
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
ه
Taim Dahoul presents Echoes of Time, an ambient and experimental album exploring the tension between darkness and light, love and fear, chaos and serenity. Shaped by the experience of leaving Syria at a young age and being unable to return, the album reflects the emotional weight of distance, memory, and the search for identity. Through cinematic piano, drones, and atmospheric sound, Echoes of Time became a way of expressing the frustration, confusion, and need for belonging that words could not fully explain. At a time where the region once again carries uncertainty and grief, this experience offers a moment of stillness for emotions that are rarely given space to exist. taken in Al Serkal Avenue, Al Quoz by @taim8xo

Hey everyone,

I hope you’ve been keeping your mental, physical and spiritual health together in these strange and heavy times.

I’ve been meaning to share this for a long time. I never really promoted my debut album Echoes of Time when it was released because it’s deeply personal to me. But lately, witnessing another war happening, something I hoped I’d never experience again, made me feel that maybe now is the right moment.

I come from Syria, and the last year I lived there, all I knew was war. I was still a kid, but those experiences stay with you forever. They shape the way you hear the world, the way you feel silence, distance, hope.

At the time I made this album, I simply couldn’t make house music anymore. For me, house music comes from joy and healing, and I just wasn’t in that space. There was too much frustration, too much distance from home, from friends and family, from the life I once knew.

So I allowed myself complete freedom to create something more honest to what was inside me.

Echoes of Time became a journey through memories, exile, and hope. Through darkness and light. Through the feeling of being a small human somewhere under the same stars as everyone else. A reminder that this life might just be a place where our souls learn, experience, love, lose, and grow.

Along the way, I was lucky enough to reconnect with my soulmate, who helped bring the project to life visually with beautiful artworks.

Sometimes music says things words can’t. So if you have 56 minutes, listen to the album from beginning to end and let it take you somewhere through space, memories, chaos, and maybe a little peace.

I’d love to hear what it makes you feel.

You can find Echoes of Time on all platforms, or support it by grabbing a copy or a track on Bandcamp for your USB.
If you are interested in purchasing any of the artworks, contact me or @venusjohara for more info :)
