It’s been 10 years since Eddie passed away. We’re honored to share his original works at Ride Brooklyn through September 27, thanks to Nagi, Koko, and Kevin, who preserved and protected them all these years.

Tomorrow is the day! ⚡️ Bandit Grand Prix is back!!

Since leaving my previous role last July and completing my duty not to compete, it’s been a patient waiting game. But now, I’m just really happy to finally be back out here and share these moments with you all again.
Throwing it back to last June when I captured the energy of this event as a freelance photographer. I’m not shooting this year, but I couldn’t be more excited to be out there in the spectator stands tomorrow, cheering everyone on as loud as I can!

I’m pleased to announce our group photo exhibition at Principles GI Coffee House in Gowanus, Brooklyn.
Digging through photo archives from some of the best photographers in NYC and beyond, I was reminded just how rich and layered this culture really is.
To all the riders who are going to rock this Saturday — nothing but respect. I’m truly proud to be part of this culture.

Sakamoto Family Portrait

Seventy-one days in Japan.
My first long vacation since moving to New York.
For the first time in years, I spent the holiday season back home.
Someone once said that if you leave New York, you may never make it back.
Still, two weeks before my 52nd birthday, I chose to leave—and to see my family.

The ten weeks I spent with my parents, for the first time in decades, were not so much happy as they were quietly sad.
My parents have aged so much, heartbreakingly fragile.
My father lives with moderate dementia, and my mother can no longer walk without his support.
Clumsily, tenderly, they support each other, living their lives with the same all-out effort I give my own in New York.

Now back in NYC, with my spirit fully restored.
And now, onto my next chapter. by @tak_nyc
