Chunky Checkered Knit Vest 🖤🤍

First 2024 post! I started this lovely vest but never got to finishing it, never done a vest before so really learning as i go.
Also i find following a pattern so confusing, unless i can see how it's done, but so far so good.

A little peek at my Koi fish print, it's one of my faves ☺️

I used old letters some old black writing ink to make this paper, it was a little on the thin side, but it was great to print on. I experimented by adding some Gold leaf imitation to give it some character.

Little koi fish

Really loved carving this one, i actually went more free handed with this, as i usually sketch more details beforehand. Test prints showed a lot of detail!

🧶 Chunky Knit Cardigan #2

My posts are very sporadic lol, I want to post more, but I've had soo many bots attracted to my page and I needed it to die down a bit.

This is my second attempt using the same process as the previous chunky cardigan, but i decided to experiment with each piece knitted. I tried to do bobbles 😅 (not so well 😂), covers for my large buttons, then the sleeves have been knitted in a pattern to bring like a really textured look. This is actually also my first time trying intarsia and it was easier than i thought it would be, but everything got soo tangled in the process 😅😂 slightly turned out smaller but i'm so proud of this, was fun to knit!

🧶 Patchwork Cropped jumper

This time last year I had never knitted a piece of clothing in my life! I had made a scarf (barely a scarf lol) when I was younger but never knew how to cast off or do anything but the purl stitch, with a odd few unintentional dropped stitches 😂 but I've always loved knitting and in general doing anything crafty. I feel like i've familiarised myself with an old hobby and it's really helped me mentally to just be present in the moment by just knitting. This isn't perfect, but this is my first cardigan! knitted in several pieces, I made a few mistakes with the square dimensions, but I think it worked out being comfier. I'm obsessed with the chunky buttons ☺️

Bowl of Warmth printed on A4 handmade paper made from packaging paper and used envelopes. 🍃
I love how textured and imperfect handmade paper appears, it gives the finished print a whole different feel.

It's been about 2 years since I last did relief printmaking and made handmade paper! A lot has changed and I finally have some time again to fit in doing things I love. I think it's time to start fresh, my purpose is completely different to before, where this space is for me to just have a creative outlet.
