quitting is becoming software.

in 2023, researchers pulled together the trials on conversational AI for quitting. across five randomized studies, people with AI support were about 29% more likely to still be free at six months. the evidence is early and imperfect, but the direction is clear.

and what made it work wasn’t more information. most people already know the risks. it was support that showed up at the exact moment a craving hit, and never clocked out. no appointments. no office hours. just something there when the urge arrives.

that’s the whole idea behind noon. the urge comes. your heartbeat appears. you breathe through it. it crests, then passes. you watch your body heal and your quit score climb, one held moment at a time.

The true cost of vaping, itemized.

The money: a steady habit runs about $1,000 a year. Ten years in, that’s a used car you inhaled.

The body: nicotine is a stimulant. Our founder’s daily low heart rate was 87 while vaping. Three weeks after quitting, it’s 66.

The mind: 90% of young people who quit vaping said they felt less stressed, anxious, or depressed afterward.

The rest of it: the stepping outside, the battery anxiety, the 5.7 disposables Americans throw out every single second.

And the only cost that actually matters: 90 seconds, when the urge hits. Noon helps you pay that one. Breathe in for 5, out for 5, and watch it pass.

Beta is open. 50 founding spots, free, and founding members keep premium free forever. Comment “noon” and we’ll DM you the link.

Your insurance is probably already paying for you to quit vaping. You just don’t know it.

Here’s the part nobody tells you: under the ACA, most health plans have to cover quitting nicotine at $0 to you. A real coach, counseling, and the quit meds.

On Medicare, up to 8 sessions a year with no copay. Blue Cross, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Medicare, Medicaid, they’re all required to cover it.

So why does almost nobody use it? In the research, only about 1 in 4 people even knew the benefit existed. It’s covered. It’s just buried, and no one walks you through it.

That’s what we’re building: a real quit coach, covered by your insurance, on your phone.

Join the early list, link in bio. Or comment QUIT and we’ll save you a spot.

Coverage varies by plan. Noon is building this and it isn’t live yet. Not medical advice.

Nicotine pouches went from a niche product to a cultural phenomenon in just a few years.

This carousel follows that rise through the numbers.

From 800 million cans projected to ship in the U.S. this year, to growing adoption among teens, to the FDA’s authorization of Zyn products for adult smokers in 2025.

Whatever your opinion is, one thing is clear:

The nicotine landscape is changing quickly.

We spent the last few weeks digging through the data, research, and public filings to understand what’s actually happening.

Here are a few things that stood out. by @takeanoon

there’s a plant that helps people quit vaping, and the US has basically ignored it for 60 years.

it’s called cytisine. it comes from the seeds of the golden rain tree and works like a quieter stand-in for nicotine. it parks in the same spot in your brain and takes the edge off.

in a 2024 trial, people were more than twice as likely to quit vaping on it than on a placebo, 31.8% vs 15.1%. it’s even beaten the nicotine patch head to head. and it costs a few bucks.

so why haven’t you heard of it? the old studies never met modern US standards, so it stalled here for decades. newer trials are finally underway.

one note: it’s not approved in the US, so this is a wild story, not medical advice. don’t go hunting for it.

the part that helps you today: whatever makes the craving easier to ride out is what actually works. that’s what we built noon to do. free in beta, link in bio. by @takeanoon
