It’s a long journey, great to have some company on the way 🐋🐋🐋

I hope your day has been as stress free as it has for these two humpbacks who decided it was time to kick back and just chill.
Happy Tuesday peeps, have a great week 🐋🩵🐋

When humpback whales seem to fly…that’s what it looks like to me.

This pod of humpback whales are on the southern leg of their annual migration.
It takes them approximately 4 to 6 weeks to complete the journey of 4,000 to 5,000 kilometres from Hervey Bay in Queensland, Australia to Antarctica, at the very bottom of our world.
It’s one of the longest migrations by any animal on the planet. That’s an awfully long way for those little calves to travel and it can be fraught with danger from predators 🐋🐋🫍

A koala and her baby joey fell from a broken branch in front of our car. She was so confused, but then her mama instincts kicked in and her joey climbed onto her back.🐨💕🍃

We didn’t want to get too close and scare them but we needed to get them safely away from the road.

Nature is hard to watch from afar sometimes 😢 ❤️

Hypothetically speaking. Who would you choose? 💕

Our love and thoughts are with everyone affected by the horrific events in Bondi. Absolutely heartbreaking. ❤️

We wish peace to all and hope that communities can come together with compassion, not division. Australia is proudly multicultural, and this diversity is a vital part of who we are.

Love, care, and empathy for one another — regardless of country, culture, or religion — are essential. Only through understanding and kindness can peace be possible. ❤️

I haven’t been posting much on here this past year or so. Since dad passed away I’ve realised how short life is and how I want to spend the majority (if not all of it) making memories with my loved ones (and that’s what I’ve been doing). I still share on my personal page but just haven’t had it in me to spend time adding more ‘jobs’ to the already massive to do list. I used to love Instagram as a creative outlet, and I still do to a degree, but it definitely started to feel more like a chore. Who knows, I may pick up some regularity to posting, but these days I just don’t want to put pressure on myself to please an algorithm. Anyway, I’m not M.I.A. but just prioritising time and what I fill it with. I’m still loving life in Australia, and with my mum now living here, it couldn’t be any more special ❤️ I’ll be back in full soon 👌🏼🥰❤️ by @takemetoaustralia
