Welcome to the IG of Tala & Mayari!

A backstory on their names:

In Ancient Philippine mythology, Tala (left) is the Goddess of the Stars. She co-created the Tagalog constellations, and during times of war and Spanish colonization of the Philippines, she conjured orbs of light for the Filipino men in combat to find their way to back to safety.

Mayari (right), the Goddess of the moon as well as beauty, strength, combat, and revolution. She embodies truth and divinity. Her and her brother Apo Laki (Deity of the Sun), engaged in battle of who were to rule, in which resulted in a agreement that BOTH are needed in this world.

If you are reading this, this is your sign to look into Ancient Mythology of the Philippines. It is truly fascinating!

The moment I laid my eyes on these two, played with them, and learned their personalities (and still learning obv!), it only felt right to name them after two of my favorite deities.

Thank you for being a part of our journey!

Love,
