I can’t believe I’m typing this rn, but after three long months, I’ve finished this diamond mosaic crochet blanket. This is my first blanket worked from a pattern and I’m so happy and proud of how it turned out 🥹

And no, I didn’t weave in the ends yet. Get over it 🤣 by @talasavvy

📓 ARC Review 🐍 The Serpent Prince of Hades by @rileysknight — releasing 02/24/2026!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After reading (and LOVING) Sage of Hope and Ruin, I absolutely could not wait for the second book in Riley’s Veil of Elpis series, so I was SOO excited to be able to read this early, and it definitely did not disappoint!

The story in The Serpent of Hades picks back up immediately where things left off in SoHaR and quickly pulls us into action, anxiety, and excitement for what’s to come. Aethra, Seth, Eleos, Seraphim, and Percy travel to the mysterious Duath Nun, home of the Acheron, a river which pierces the core of the Empty, set right in the capital city of Hades. Their goal? A seemingly futile quest to stop the Empty from spreading using Aethra’s Elpis magic. Oh, and did I mention they’re joined by Phaedrus? Yeah.. THAT Phaedrus... 👀 But their arrival in Duath Nun has brought about even more obstacles than they could have imagined. Will hope reign over despair in their continuing story, or will their quest prove useless?

This book made me laugh, cry, scream, cuss, and kick my feet! @rileysknight is one of my favorite indie authors, and I’m begging you to check her out! I’m so ready for book three already! Thank you so much Riley Knight for providing me with an advanced reader copy of The Serpent Prince of Hades in exchange for my honest review!

📓 ARC Review 🐉 From the Silence of the Shadows by @vblacey.books — releasing 01/28 (2 DAYS)!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Y’all know I look anything that is Hades x Persephone story, but NOTHING could have prepared me for this book!!! This book is part of the standalone Veridian Empire series by @vblacey.books, and after reading the two previous books in 2025, I could not WAIT to sign up to ARC read the third!

From the Silence of the Shadows gives us the story of Nox Duma, the last dragon shifter in the Veridian Empire, and Devora, a shadow wielder with a sharp tongue, who’s fresh off of betraying the Empress Clarissa, one of Nox’s closest friends. The storyline continues to grow as we learn more about the tyrannical Scarven and Nox’s relationship with him, and Devora searches for answers about her past and how to manifest her shadows. Nox definitely doesn’t trust Devora, and she doesn’t trust him either. Will they be able to work together to bring down Scarven? 👀

Thank you so much @vblacey.books for the opportunity to ARC read From the Silence of the Shadows before it releases! I LOVED it and can’t wait to see what everyone else thinks! 💖 by @talasavvy
