Grateful to share that, for the second time this semester, one of my pieces has been accepted into a show 🤍

“Intertwined” (6x9 in.) will be on view March 27 – April 9 at POST Houston, 401 Franklin St.

Feeling really thankful for these opportunities and excited for what’s ahead.

Had Critique Tuesday. This project required me to choose an artist from a list, research them, create 2 paintings in their style. I decided to choose Jennifer Packer. I enjoyed the challenge and love the results :)

So excited to say that its been 2 weeks since I moved into my on campus studio:) Here’s a little dump of the past 2weeks

Here are everyone’s paintings of their favorite item:)

The “dark” paintings. I really like how everyone took a different approach:)

snippets of my studio currently ( not too much judgement, i haven’t decorated yet)

here is everyones bad paintings and painting of said bad painting. This was the most intriguing part of critique today. Hearing everyones pov and approach to these prompts was alot of fun:)

New friends! I made plenty of friends being in painting block! I am so thankful to be surrounded by so many amazing and creative people:) by @talaurastoker

With finals are right around the corner, I want to take a moment to reflect on what I’ve learned and how much I’ve grown.

I’ve learned that’s important to take up space, to go for what I want, and rejection is apart of growth.

I’ve grown in my art style, my color use, and as a person.

As I reflect on my career as an artist, I will forever be grateful for these opportunities and the people around me. Thank you:)
