What a surreal honor. I’m very grateful to the committee and also to our wonderful cast and crew @2stnyc who took the play out of the pdf and made it so visceral and human. Awards are SO WEIRD and I continually feel the strange duality of pursuing making something the worth of which is inherently subjective. How horrible is that, and how great! Meet the Cartozians is dedicated to my Armenian grandparents, who shaped my childhood in ways I will never be able to fully express. Here they are, when they were still with us, in their 90’s, holding each other. May we all have that prize. by @talenemonahon

Very honored that @americantheatremag has published the entire script of Meet the Cartozians in this month’s edition, focused on 250 years of theater history. Also, the incomparable Andrea Martin and I chat about growing up Armenian American and the process of creating this play and production (though they cut out the part where I begged her to release her skincare regimen.) I love this magazine and am deeply moved that this is the first published incarnation of the script! by @talenemonahon

Eat Me is open @southcoastrep ! I’m so grateful to this incredible team and most especially to @caitesull for working tirelessly to translate this play from where it was lurking in my mind swamp. And thank you to my sweet California friends for keeping me fed (and sometimes dressed @michaelurielikesit ) while it was happening. A HUGE group of people worked very hard to crack the alchemy of this play, which felt so specific and personal while I was writing it, but ultimately found its best self through the collective vision and collaboration of many.
